I've been using Ocean Air Sports as my go to place for windsurfing / SUP gear for as long as I can remember. I've dealt with other shops and from day one Brian and the crew at Ocean Air are both more helpful and more educated about the gear that they sell than any other windsurfing/kite/SUP shop I've ever been too. They won't sell you something just because it's the one that they have in stock. They really try to get an idea of your abilities and exactly your style of riding and then match you with the perfect set up. And if you happen to be in Hatteras to check out the gear and still aren't sure what will work best.....They have the biggest demo fleet I've ever seen that you can sail right out the back door!

I had an incredible first kiteboarding lesson with Jay and Edd, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was smooth and effortless on my end, thanks to their expert guidance and top-notch setup.

Edd was especially attentive, making a continuous effort to help me master the kite, and his patience and clear instruction made a huge difference. In just a short time, I learned so much and felt confident progressing. The use of both a boat and a jet ski during the lesson added an extra layer of convenience and efficiency, allowing for seamless learning without the usual struggles of getting back into position.

Overall, the experience was absolutely awesome, and I would highly recommend Jay and Edd to anyone looking to get into kiteboarding. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and well-structured approach made my first lesson...

Took a trip with the family to the Outerbanks to learn to kitesurf. I asked about ten local kiters who they would recommend. Every person said to to Ocean Air. Took a lesson with Chris, it was awesome, very competent and a great teacher! He's been kiting for 20 years! Was hooked after the first lesson. Bought 2 kites and all the gear from them the next morning. Bought all North end of the year demo gear, good deal and very good condition. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get into kiting or looking for awesome kites! Thanks guys!
