We were on the Outer Banks for some sun, wind sports and fun, but unfortunately we had to work remotely as well. One of our laptops was having issues - making it impossible for us to do that beloved (and necessary) remote work. I figured we might end up having to drive all the way back to Raleigh or Durham NC to get it fixed. We looked at Nags Head, Buxton, Hatteras, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Manteo, and other place. I was surprised to find a tech expert right here in Avon, NC! As soon as we showed up at the shop, John started working on the laptop. I love the fact that he explained each step of his work and diagnostic with us as he was working on it. I learned that he has over 20 years of experience, and it was evident! I had purchased a new POS system at Rocco's Pizza and was having problems getting the network set up properly, and all the printers communicating with the POS, it was about to go out the window! I contacted John, he worked with me on setting up a convenient time so it did not effect business....that was a BIG plus. He not only hooked up the network and network printers, but also connected an addition printer, this made life a little better in the kitchen. I also threw one more on him and had him get the EDC program for the credit card machines up and running. We now have a fully functional POS system, life is great! My only regret is that I did not find him sooner, would of saved me a lot of aggravation and wasted time on my part. I highly recommend Doerr Tech Works and will be relying on John for any future...

I live and work in Northern Virginia, but was on a trip to Avon where I would be working remotely for the week. In my travels, I lost the dongle to my wireless mouse and I hate using the touchpad on my laptop. I called Doerr Tech Works, hoping I could buy another computer mouse.
