To preface my review: Anyone that claims that this movie theater benefits from the "rustic" features such as: showing one movie at a time, dated interior, and distracting theater room are pretentious.
The seats are too uncomfortable, you can only barely see over the seat in front of you if you even slightly slouch (and I'm 6'2") because there's essentially no incline, there's too many decorations inside where it's supposed to be focused on the movie, the picture isn't wide enough, the tickets are too expensive, and more.
In no way does this movie stack up to other movie theaters. The one thing that sets them apart is that they show indie films, often enough. Also if you didn't know, they're owned by Far Away Entertainment; the same people who run the Bainbridge Cinemas at the Pavilion. So it's essentially just a spare theater.
It would do more good if they put on plays like the BPA or something or other, but instead it's a delapidating throw-away theater masking itself as "rustic" in the context of the actually meaningful and historic Lynnwood architecture. I just couldn't allow this theater to have 0 zero-star reviews. It even has better ratings than the Bainbridge Cinemas, and I haven't gone there in some time considering it's actually worth driving 40 minutes to Silverdale to see movies in reclining leather seats for a sinilar...

A little "pricey" (I wouldn't call $11.50 pricey) but that's the price you pay for carefully curated movies in a historic setting. Imagine keeping on a one screen theatre open with two or three showings a day--that's not super profitable. And I have no high demands. I love this place and the navy blue ceiling with gold stars. Not everything has to be high tech to be...

Long Live the Historic...
