My pregnant daughter went online and began the rental process for her birthday present, a bed, on Saturday October 15th. She completed the lease agreement and was told she would receive her bed on Monday October 17th, all that was required was a deposit that she was happy to pay. She received a phone call on Tuesday October 18th, after the deposit was received by Aaron's, from an employee named Tiffany who rudely demanded paycheck stubs prior to delivering the merchandise that was guaranteed to arrive a day earlier. This associate was so rude that my pregnant daughter was hysterically crying when I came home. In order to understand the situation better, my son-in-law called the store and was told, "She's not getting a bed cause you don't have a job". How Tiffany came to this conclusion is beyond me, they are both employed and capable of presenting as many paycheck stubs as they need. We then called customer service and filed a complaint and was told that the representative filed a separate complaint after calling the associate and witnessing her attitude firsthand. The phone call my daughter received shortly after that was truly outrageous. Someone claiming to be a deputy with the Waynesboro police department wanted to inform my daughter that Tiffany filed a complaint for harassment! Thinking that there had to be some kind of mistake, I called the number back and lo and behold I hear, "Thank you for calling Aaron's of Waynesboro, this is Jerry". On top of receiving the worst customer service I've ever witnessed, an Aaron's associate impersonated a police officer! Do not do business with this company! I called to verify someone’s employment and the young lady named Edith answers and says I have the wrong number so I attempted to call back and they let the phone ring three minutes before answering and hanging up!when I called for the third time and I asked to speak to the manager and Edith says o she sitting right here finally I speak to the manager Tiffany and I ask the employment information and she says I have no idea!REALLY and you are a manager I then asked to speak to her District manager and she also doesn’t know the name of her district manager but gives me a number I could call to make a complaint. This in my opinion is by far unacceptable I called a place of business to get information and was treated like I called someone’s personal phone. Her coworkers were also professional and assisted me with my living room set. I appreciate this location and it is convenient, very close to where I lived.
I am greatful to have worked with everyone here, including the delivery guys. They delivered and picked up as needed on time and with a smile.
Give this location a chance! They are better than Rent A Center. AARONS’ workers are professionals and they make sure they listen to the needs of the customers. If you are nice to them, of course they are nice to you, but you also should pay your bill on time to keep good credit.
