Even tho the label said "full sun" I was told that "semi-shade" was fine. Convinced that she knew what she was talking about, I was urged to spend the 80.00 for the tree. I had it professionally planted, well watered etc, even conversed with it. Needless to say it never came back 8 mos. later. When I reported this to her, I was told "we aren't Home Depot, we don't have any guarantee"!!! "It was the landscapers fault, he used BAD DIRT"!!!!! How ridiculous and insulting to anyone to make a remark like that. After just moving to the neighborhood from NJ, I thought I found a reliable supplier that was (although) high priced but reliable knowledge-wise. Turns out that sales are far more important, money is the MOST important and customer satisfaction matters "zilch"! There are many privately owned garden centers around and Stonewall is not one of them. She lost the best customer she could have had, also lost many that I recommended patronize her. I strongly urge everyone to stay as far away from her exorbitant prices as possible. I won't even purchase a Christmas tree there after this. This is one of my all-time favorite places to go to find peace, tranquility, and beautiful plants, wallhangings, and garden junkie tchotchke. The folks who run the joint are absolutely wonderful to talk to and very knowledgeable. If they don’t have something at their shop they will either order it or make a suggestion where you can get it.
