I had a PC built here a few years ago and had a good experience, so I decided to let them install a new GPU for me—big mistake. I called them Friday and asked how long it would take to install the GPU. The salesman told me it would be easy and should only take a few hours at most. I explained that I needed the PC for my online college courses, and he insisted the GPU would be installed the same day. I told him I’d bring the PC over in the morning and ended the call. I got up early Saturday—since I live over 40 minutes away—and dropped the PC off at 9:00 AM, thinking the install would take just a few hours. That’s when the headache began. As I was checking in, the salesman tried to sell me some fans, and I agreed since I’d had a positive experience previously. I left the PC there and was told again that it should only take a few hours to complete the work. I went to a friend’s place to wait. A few hours passed, and I decided to give them a call. I was surprised when the employee who answered told me my PC wouldn’t be ready until Tuesday. I explained that I couldn’t wait that long, and he put me on hold. A few minutes later, another salesman picked up and told me the job was being delayed because the GPU didn’t come with a support bracket. I knew this was BS because I had checked the card before dropping it off. He then told me they sold brackets and that the job could be completed that day if I bought one. I agreed and reminded him again that I really needed the PC back that day. He told me to give him an hour or two and said I’d receive a call when it was done. I waited a few more hours and decided to drop by the store to check in. When I arrived, the salesman explained that he had installed the GPU, but the CPU light was flashing red and the PC wouldn’t boot up. He also managed to find the support bracket that came with the GPU. I pointed out that the GPU wasn’t installed correctly because the bracket hadn’t been used, and the GPU was sagging and not connected properly to the board. He then tried to install the bracket but clearly had no idea how to assemble it, let alone attach it to the GPU. I was shocked and immediately regretted bringing my PC in. He also handled the GPU roughly, and I noticed he bent some of the metal fins on the card. This is a $1,000 GPU that was extremely hard to find. I explained again that I needed the PC for both work and college classes, and he told me I would now have to pay a $100 fee to expedite the repair. At this point, I was furious. None of this was explained to me before I brought the PC in. If he had told me the job could possibly take a few days, I definitely would have waited. You guys need to do a better job of explaining these things beforehand—and please take it easy with all the upselling tactics. I really don’t need your version of Webroot. Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse, the tech contacted me on Monday and told me that thier power supply failed and it fried my PC and both my motherboard and power supply were destroyed. I was speechless. The tech then said they would cover the parts but that I’d have to wait until Tuesday so he could talk to his manager. On Tuesday I got a call from the parts manager who told me they didn’t do anything wrong and wouldn’t be providing any parts to replace the ones that got damaged. He said the best he could do was sell me the parts at a discounted price. At this point, I was furious and asked to speak with the owner. The call with the owner went about as well as expected. I explained what happened, and he told me he’d have to review the phone call I had with the tech on Monday. After reviewing the call, the owner told me he would honor the deal I made with the tech and that he’d replace the parts with the equivalent ones the tech had mentioned. I told him that was fine and hung up the phone. I got the PC back on Tuesday and it worked fine but the entire experience was just a headache. I also have a white mark on my case that I can't get off

First time building a pc and I believed I screwed up badly. A friend recommended computer heaven and on Saturday an hour before closing I showed up. I wasn’t expecting to get my issue resolved nor was I expecting the staff to be that attentive but when I walked in miles greeted me and was extremely polite and professional and went to quick work. My lack of knowledge and experience in no way hindered his ability to help me correctly assemble the last few parts of my pc and he seemed to take true enjoyment from it. I would highly recommend computer heaven for all of your needs

Horrible experience with Computer Heaven. For those without time to read the details, their work processes are incredibly sloppy and their communication is as poor. I had my laptop returned to me clearly more broken than when I had dropped it off and this would've only taken the act of trying to turn the thing on to detect it. This was not mentioned on pickup or in any of my calls after a $600+ bill over three months of inconsistent communication.

Three months ago, I drop off a laptop with a fan issue and a charging port that requires a bit of wiggling to get going. Three or so weeks into this, I'm contacted and told the fan is a special part, and with the shortage, to expect a delay as they receive it from an international supplier. I tell them it makes sense and pay $600 for the part. Radio silence for a bit. I call in a few weeks later and am told they received it and they're getting around to installing it and they're basically done. So I call them later that week and get the same answer. This pattern repeats for a bit. Finally, I'm told I can come pick it up on a Friday. I show up, thank them, go home, plug the thing in, the battery is at 1% and now the laptop tells me all of its chargers (including the one I left them with) are the incorrect voltage. So clearly they didn't even turn the thing on after they installed the fan, or at least didn't feel like it was important to mention the laptop I was picking up after leaving it with them for three months was unusable.

I contacted them the next day, they say to bring it in Monday. I do, they apologize and tell me they'll prioritize it. They didn't. I ended calling on Friday and got the same runaround: "it's basically done, just need to finish soldering it." Called them every other day this next business week as well, feeling like a jilted ex at this point, And I'm given the same thing: "it's basically done, just finishing the soldering." This continues into the NEXT week with me contacting them several times because they aren't returning calls they said they would. I really need this laptop, I'm being continually told it's a simple fix with only a final step left, and finally, finally, today, when I contact them again, they tell me "actually it's probably an issue with the motherboard and it's going to cost $1000 to replace." The motherboard was ostensibly fine prior to them getting the laptop 3 months ago, and they only discovered this issue nearly 100 days later.

1 star for communication for me having to break the radio silence only to get fake updates in response for months, 1 star for thoroughness since I was given a broken laptop back that just booting the thing up after they "fixed it" would've signaled, and 1 star for competency, because frankly, I don't know if the motherboard was damaged in their care or not, because it wasn't an issue they detected until today, and I have no reason to believe them at this point that it was like that when they received...

Initially, I was VERY impressed with Computer Heaven. After being tired of dealing with Apple to get my Mac screen repaired I was in seek of a computer repair shop. I stumbled across Computer Heaven, checked out their reviews online, and was impressed. There was 120+ mostly positive reviews. I decided to give them a try. I gave them a call and explained my problem. They gave me an over the phone estimate and I decided to go with Computer Heaven. They had reputable reviews and offered a 90 day warranty on the part I needed to have replaced. I went in to their store, and again... I was impressed. The customer service was excellent and they worked with me to try to find the most affordable option to get my Mac repaired. I ended up having them do the repair. They said it’d be 3-5 business days to have the part ordered and installed. I believe they had it done on the 4th day, which I was happy with. Upon pick up, again, I was pleased with the friendly staff. I inspected my computer and the screen seemed to look good. It lit up. There was no lag. The camera worked. Everything seemed great. I was happy. Later that evening I was at home, checking out the laptop even more. I pealed off the plastic film that the laptop screen/ top lid came wrapped in and noticed 2 slight scratches near where the hinges are. I assume this happened during the install. They are faint and only about a half inch long. Upon even further inspection, I noticed one of the screws holding the bottom plate of my computer on was missing. Now I know a minor scratch and a tiny missing screw is minor, however when I pay $500 dollars for a part and $150+ for a professional installation, I expect professional work. And a missing screw is not professional work in my option. When you take your car to get new tires, I’m sure one would be VERY unhappy if the installer scratched ones fancy wheels or forgot to put a lug nut back on. It seems careless and rushed in my opinion. Again, these complaints are minor. However, I expected near perfection when paying a premium for a computer repair. I hope that the company will see this review, as I don’t know when I will be able to make it back in to get the screw replaced. Their location is a little inconvenient, being all the way across town from...
