Not only does this place lack professionalism (literally see every other 1 star review, the common theme is rude/unprofessional service), but they literally affected my delivery rating with ubereats because their ego’s refused to listen to what I am saying, and instead the “manager” took the time to tell me that I was wrong for doing my job. In order to confirm a delivery, I must match the name on my app with the receipt, and confirm that all items are listed. When I asked to see the receipt and confirm, he refused and said “confirm the order first.” Against my desires, I went ahead and confirmed before actually seeing the order. After delivering to the customer, I look to see in my account that they’ve made a negative remark with Uber, stating that I was unprofessional.
That caused my satisfaction rate to go from 100% to 97%. This affects the type of orders I get, so essentially his ego now impacts my ability to work.
All I wanted to do was explain that according to the requirements in the app, that I must look at the receipt and confirm that everything is correct. To which he replied “we never mess up”. Well, I’d love to take your word for it but unfortunately, if an item is missing, ONLY I as the driver is held responsible for that. And I know this because I have ran a restaurant for years and have had these conversations with Uber before, as well as customers whose orders were messed up.
It’s unfortunate that customer service isn’t the priority for this place. You can literally see that to be true in the negative remarks left here by others.
I’ll never say “don’t eat here”, because I have more respect than that. Too bad they don’t have enough respect to be honest, and instead chose to tell Uber that I was unprofessional for simply trying to make sure the order...
Read moreI ordered the regular cheeseburger from them and I’m not a person to write reviews too much unless something is superb. I’ve lived in Jersey City for 20 years and I have to say this is probably one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve had in Jersey City granted I have not tried a lot of of the restaurants in downtown as I’m A Greenville chick but after my first bite in that wonderfully soft challah bread, I made the chefs kiss, hand gesture, sitting in the middle of my car in the parking lot of liberty State Park The onions are amazing. Everything just melts together perfectly. I even saved half for my daughter and she agreed it was one of the best burgers she’s ever had. 17-year-old girls are hard to impress. Today I went back with the full intention of getting another cheeseburger, but I thought better of it and decided I should take a break from the red meat today and got the Americano sandwich. I’m writing this review before I’ve even bitten into my sandwich. I’ve had a couple different things from here and have never been disappointed. Their cakes are amazing. It’s just quality fresh. Well made food. The prices are a little high but food prices are high so can’t complain much there but if you’re ever in the area, especially if you visit liberty State Park Get the burger. It comes with fries and actually at $12. That’s not a bad deal I have now written the longest Google review on a...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed this evening with Mordis. I have had it many times since we live about 5 minutes away in the neighborhood. We placed an order on the phone for a chicken parm sandwich and a grilled chicken Americano sub. I know we have to specifically specify the protein for the subs because I’ve ordered it multiple times. After my fiancé picked it up, we found out that the sandwich had chicken Schnitzel so I told him to just call them back to ask if we can bring it back and if they can make the right order. The girl who he had talked to originally picked up and then said okay and hung up. He then gets a phone call from another guy who works there who tells him that we didn’t specify it was grilled chicken and that it was our fault. We specifically did and it was the woman’s fault who clearly wasn’t paying proper attention to the phone call. He continues to say that we did not say that and that he confirmed with the woman. It’s just baffling how he would know what was said when he didn’t even speak with us. He said sorry we can’t give you a refund which isn’t even what we asked for. We just were asking to get what we had originally ordered. It is sad and disappointing that they couldn’t even admit it was their fault over one sandwich that they didn’t want to replace. Sad to say we won’t be getting Mordis anymore. True customer...
