So I’m a mother of a child with autism and he only eats certain foods so the other day I went to this Kroger on Alexander rd in Baytown Tx. and realized they did not have Caroline’s cart like every other Kroger does so my experience with my son that day was extremely difficult. However I noticed they had a sale on the noodles my son eats 10 for 10 which is awesome so I went back today with the intentions of speaking to the manager about the cart situation and loading up on noodles. So I get through shopping and ask for the manager who never introduced himself but I recall hearing his name starting with a B. So I’ll call him Mr. B, he comes over and I ask him about the carts and his reaction was shrugging his shoulders and rolling his eyes, and telling me he just went to a meeting and has never heard of these carts before and he’ll ask but whatever! So as he’s saying this I’m noticing him looking in my cart at all of the noodles I bought which totaled 60, and I said, “my son only eats certain things,” and his response was, “ I guess the shelves are empty now and no one else in Baytown gets to eat noodles today but you.” And I said ,”what does that matter I paid for them”! And that ended our conversation about the special needs carts for kids like mine because he walked off. I have never encountered a more unprofessional person in my life. Mr. B does not care about special needs people and I inconvenienced this man by stopping him and asking about something that would be helpful to a lot of people not just me. Hopefully this review reaches his superiors and something is done about it. But no worries I will continue to empty the shelves at that Kroger every time they have a sale on the noodles my son eats whether I can bring him with me or not. I figure my money is a good as anyone...
Read more(9/9/2024) I placed an order for pick. My order was submitted & paid for & said it would be ready between 5:30 p.m & 6 p.m. I arrived at 5:45 & checked, 15 minutes later still no order. At 6:08 a car pull up next to me and not even two minutes later Kroger comes out with those order!!!! I asked the young man for my order and he said it was not ready. I asked why my order wasn't ready if it said ready for pick up, he then said i received a text message saying "order would be late" however I didn't receive any notification on the delay. Also it's absurd how a later pick time for the person next time was ready and my order wasn't. I stayed an extra 5 minutes after I talked to the young man and he came back out with a different order for a person that arrived at 6:15 p.m! Very unacceptable! & Of course Kroger customer service doesn't answer...
Read moreIt's the small neighborhood store about a mile from my house. This store is waaay smaller than the "new Kroger." It's easy to run in and grab a few things when I don't want to fight traffic and/or the craziness of WM or the bigger grocery stores on Garth Road. Unless it's a specific sale, prices at Kroger are always higher than at WM (for the items I purchase). That's why I don't typically shop at Kroger: on a tight budget, a few dollars can make the difference between getting what I need and not buying what's on my list. The gas prices at the "small Kroger" are always several cents/gallon higher than the gas prices at the "new Kroger." Again, being on a tight budget determines where I purchase the products I need. Thank you for letting me rate this business...
