Taqueria Tapatia — Restaurant in Baytown

Best little hole in the wall mexican place I have found in Baytown, not much in the way of exterior signage and it's set back from the road, if you blink you'll miss it. I decided to try it today and I was blown away, great funky lowdown Texas vibe inside, reminded me of a lot of awesome funky diners I used to frequent in small towns in Central Texas. Place was packed, parking lot was nearly full. I went in and ordered migas, a breakfast burrito and a breakfast taquito to go. Waitress was freindly, wait time was reasonable despite the packed house. Very reasonable prices for what I ordered, took it home to the wife and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of food we got vs. what we paid, everything was absolutely delicious, high quality, they do not skimp on the cheese and they use the yummy white cheese ! We wound up with enough leftovers for breakfast the next day ! This place is my new go to for breakfast and we plan to try it for lunch/dinner soon. I have been going here for at least a decade now. The quality of the food has fluctuated over the years but has ultimately been good overall. They have a broad menu encompassing everything from breakfast to dinner, all of which is available during any time of day. They have a more authentic style than something like casa ole, yet serve their dishes with their own particular flare. Their micheladas are a must have if you drink, and the cheese enchiladas are my go to choice on the menu, except for in the winter, when I enjoy their seafood soup. DO NOT GO HERE if your on a timed lunch you will definitely leave hungry!!! They have no clue how to run a drive thru and the dinning area at the same time!!! It only took me 2 minutes to get here from my job and I waited my whole lunch in their drive thru and it only had one car in the drive thru when I pulled in I was almost late back to work but I had to back up and leave before getting blocked in by another car pulling in without eating or having the time to go anywhere else!!!!!! Now I’m back at work til the end of the day without eating lunch!!!!! Thanks ALOT!!!!!!
