Amargosa Valley bar — Local services in Beatty

Phil is an extremely nice man, he manages the R.V. Park and also is the Cook across the street at the Rocket Café in the rear of the Alien store. Much better food over their than at the fort. The R.V. park is Basic nothing fancy, but for $25.00 a night it was fine for us, we stayed for a week, explored the area. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because there is no T.V. but we had C.D's with us, the Wifi is Great!! Phone contact was nice so we were hoping that things would be ok. Every thing was cash and no receipts. Ecoli was still in the water. Park has alot of full time folks. It's still a huge park. Clean yard and lighting and well painted. We stayed the night but didn't hookup anything but electric. 50 AMP worked. Really noisy as hwy runs very close. 2 gas stations and 2 restaurants and fire works factory. ALSO Discovered that the restaurant across the hwy also has a brothel running full time. We have stayed every year going north and south, rv park has a bit of noise from big rigs and air brakes. Food at resturant has changed, the first year it was made by a person who did not know how to cook. But this Oct 2018, huge improvement in service and food. Of course it's our midway point going from AZ and NorCal. So we will continue to stop there.

It's a pretty clean place even if some who stay there full time are seedy looking, I'm guessing they are more poor retirees than anything, but...
