Let me give you an update on Mike's Furniture. It appears some of the reviews are 2-5 years old. I went to this store with good intentions to purchase a bedroom set and possibly other items because I have dealt with them in the past and it was good customer service. I picked out a bedroom set, and the salesman discussed the price and all the items that was included. The mattress I picked out had a wonderful sale tag on it of $597.00. It was pillow top. Well the bill came out a lot higher than normal and I didn't notice at first because he added the box spring for an extra $199 and delivery charges. When I did notice I paid a lot higher than I expected, I went to the store and the counter person told me the mattress was actually $999 and the box spring was $100, and he did not honor the sale price they had on the bed because of their error. The salesman also told me what would be included in the price, which was the bed,mattress,dresser and the night stand. When delivered to the house the nightstand was not included. Now I have purchased bedroom sets in the past and the only item never included was the chest of drawer. I went twice to the store to try to work it out and was told the manager/owner would call me back. I also noticed that on the last trip, I saw him walk out the door, he saw me there and never attempted to speak with me the customer. He never acknowledged their mistake and as a good customer, never tried to make it right. He never returned my phone calls. Now their receipts, be careful because it only shows the furniture items with no side prices, Only the total is at the bottom of the page, and it doesn't outline what cost what. I have decided to contact the better business bureau and the business consumer. It's no doubt, some of the furniture is beautiful. But at this point, I feel the manager/owner is unprofessional. He also had nerve to tell me the nightstand was on sale for $98. That nightstand was very small and looked like it should have been $25. Nevertheless, it's their prices. But it's also his job to be sure his items are priced correctly. If he would have taken the time to speak with me, he would have seen I would have kept the mattress and we could have worked this out, because everyone makes mistakes, He didn't do that. They need to train their salespeople, and they need to communicate. I must add the salesman was a very nice man. I didn't appreciate being totally ignored and I didn't appreciate the level of unprofessionalism to me as a customer, like I nor my hard-earned...
Read moreHad furniture delivered and was told they'd help remove the old furniture. The guys arrived ahead of schedule and I was told they weren't able to help remove the old furniture. So I had to struggle to remove it by myself to get the new furniture inside. I got it inside and realized it wasn't going to fit completely. I called them back to inquire about returning or exchanging the brand-new sectional, but they don't offer that, which is fine. However, if I'm spending $2500 on a sofa set, the least you can do is help remove the old one, especially since you specifically said you would before I bought it and scheduled...
Read moreI bought my bed in March 2016 and it was around! $900. I was told that I could either pay it off in 90 days, or have the option to pay the remaining balance off. It's been 6 months and I have paid $840 on it thus far and I called to see what my remaining balance was and these people said $692 for payoff. What...Never again will I get a mattress through Mike. Bell furniture was straight forward and honest with their word. Mike furniture is highway robbery, hate it. I should have backed out when they email someone else contract....
