I normally really appreciate this charging station however I had a really bad experience with the station yesterday that was so notable because it affected my ability to get to work today. I am very dependent on being able to charge here as there are basically no other charging stations nearby that are suitable for a Chevy bolt. I also really like the location because there are a lot of things to do while I am waiting for my session to complete. I was just telling a friend yesterday about how reliable the station is, however, just a few hours after that conversation, I tried to charge but was unable to on any of the six chargers. I consistently got an error message. I called customer support and they told me that the problem is my car, but I successfully charged an hour and a half earlier at another Electrify America station, and I successfully charged after at my friend’s house and later at home. With that being said, I’m not sure that the station is actually in working condition right now. I’d be curious to know if anyone else had any issues. My other complaint is that sometimes the station can get quite busy and you may...

Much improved since the original review. All stations work now and it's perfectly fine to visit if you avoid the high-demand times of day.

Charged twice during a one-day DC «» Pittsburgh round trip. AM session: 19–70% in 25m, averaging 100.37 kW/hr. No wait but four cars queued up behind me soon after starting my session. PM session: 3–80% in 40m, averaging 94.71 kW/hr, but the battery was cold and conditions below freezing. No wait.

// ORIGINAL REVIEW: The state of things on our last visit was awful. Two chargers completely out of order and covered up.

One of the last two claims to be operational, but refuses to actually initiate a charge. The car before me and after me both attempted tried the problematic unit and failed to initiate.

It is absolutely unacceptable to let things fall into disrepair like this, especially when there are no similar DCFC alternatives nearby if you arrive with a...

Chademo: ZERO SERVICE. DONT BOTHER. Bad connection engineering (micro pins corroding/pushed into the housing). Stupid (hurry up and make money) electrical and hardware engineering of the connector triggering (IR ranging sensor exposed to damage by putting the charging plug back in the cradle). Absolutely NO way of contacting the company and speaking with a human about the broken hardware and software. Electrify America was clearly a performative money/land grab. This is common for their systems presenting the CHAdeMO...

UPDATE 3: This is one of E's Congestion Reduction Effort stations, and it makes charging here so much better. UPDATE 2: EA rolled out their new BTC chargers here (along with new parking paint), so looking forward to better uptime UPDATE: Sheetz has moved employee parking to where EVs used to wait. New waiting area is, for no good reason, closer to the store where the employees work and probably should park. Great station, easy to get to, right next to Sheetz so there's food and bathrooms.

Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. Chargers wouldn’t accept cards, had to download the app to pay but then, here’s the kicker, was forced into signing up for a membership to even be able to charge. Once all crazy hoops were navigated, charging finally started and we went into the Sheetz - came out and the charging stopped after going from 31% to 43%, then proceeded to charge me for idling time. “Electrify America” should be renamed “Rip Off America”
