Extra Space Storage — Local services in Bedford

I would love to give 5 stars 🤩 but it did have some bad things that could be improved but overall pretty satisfied with this storage unit if seen worse overall not bad PROS: *Great rates not bad at all Friendly service easy set up Very good with contact if needed Okay location off of highway Both indoor and outdoor or climate controlled units Great secure 🔐 access with gate Dry *Offers insurance Cleans up and move out was easy Electric in unit Maintenance/ owners do not harass you like some other units they respect privacy CONS: Doors not wide enough for smaller units Not enough room to back to the smaller unit, very narrow drive and blocks other ppl trying to get in parking lot. Not the best coming in big bump not sure if that is city road or their responsibility but would be great if it could be fixed, and hell getting out if you got to turn left toward highway. Gate locked after certain hours some ppl need 24 but secured access Has some mice not infestation but some nothing chewed through but as precaution use containers that mice can not chew through maybe some mice...

This is my first experience with Uncle Bobs Storage and it was horrible!! I called and spoke with Natasha who helped with a great deal. And put in their system that the administration fee be waived. When I arrive at the closest location to me which was Bedford, I spoke with Alberta. She was pleasant but because she over looked her system she charged my card more than she should had and could NOT even give me a refund until I called corporate. She didn't care that she got all my money. She just shrugged her shoulders and said it'll be credited to my account. Again, I called corporate. That did absolutely nothing. They gave me till the end of the day to come back. HELLO! Some people have jobs to work. I'm suppose to miss my job to get money back from an employee who couldn't do their job?? So now it's been credited to my account and I only needed one month of storage from them. So that's money down the drain!! Horrible...

Took a friend there to pick up some things from his locker and the gate froze and would not open to let us drive out. It was very hot that day as we sat baking in the sun, while he made several calls to managers to get someone to come and fix the problem. We were locked in there approximately an hour and a half. Nobody ever did come they just wanted to tell him over the phone how to fix the issue, something their maintenance should be fixing, funny I don't remember him getting paid to do their job. Also we were there around lunch time on a Saturday, where is the staff?? I would never recommend this place to anyone. At the end of the day they didn't even try and make things right.... Who ever the owner is he should try putting some money back in his business.... And train his employees in...
