My wife and I purchased dozens of items from this Levin and always elect to purchase the extended warranty for the simple fact that if you do not use it, store credit is given. We had a rebate available last year and went into the Oakwood location but couldn't really find anything that day. We asked to speak to a manager to see if the rebate/credit could be extended since it would expire soon. We talked to a store manager who quickly looked up our history and saw how many items we have purchased over the years. He said he would gladly extend the rebate until we found something we were interested in and sure enough a few weeks later my wife and I did find a sectional we were interested in and completed the purchase and the salesman and manager held up there agreement and we were able to use our store credit/rebate. Now, fast forward to last week when I called the store to ask if another expired rebate could still be used. The store rebate was not for a lot of money, just $289.98. The reason it expired and we didn't/couldn't use it is because we had an unexpected death in our family that suddenly became ill. With this family member being in the hospital and unexpectedly passing away we forgot about our rebate as we were preoccupied with hospital bills, funeral arrangements, etc. So, I spoke with the customer service representative and informed her of our expired rebate. She took down my information and said she would speak with a manager and get back to us. Well, I did receive a call the next day and to my disappointment the customer service rep said that unfortunately the store would not honor our expired rebate. I was very disappointed. My wife was even more upset. We personally have spent thousands of dollars on many items at this store location and are now going to be told we can not use an expired rebate because we let the rebate expire due to an unforeseen death in our family. We're not asking for free furniture, just the chance to use our earned rebate from being a loyal customer...
Read moreI donât understand how this company gets any more than a one star review. We ordered our sectional in November of last year and only received it in April. There is supposed to be an ottoman come with the sectional. We have been asking ever since the sectional was delivered when it would be delivered and it gets delayed another month every time we ask. We ordered this furniture from the Oakwood Village Store. I called the store on Sunday and they told me it would be at the end of July now before we receive the ottoman. Do the math itâs eight months. They love to pull the Covid card to explain why we donât have the Ottoman yet. Maybe they should just do business with a manufacturer that cares enough to get the furniture out in a timely manner. I hung up the phone and called right back and ask for the manager. The lady told me that he was with a customer and would call me back. She took down my name and number and I have yet to receive a callback. The most uncaring company on Gods green earth. Unfortunately I was forced to give them at least one star in order to write this review.
July 21st 2021
So the saga continues. Even Robert Levinâs deep voice cannot save this company. I was supposed to get a phone call today from the Oakwood Village manager. Now they are saying August 6 before we receive the furniture. Remember the furniture was ordered in November 2020. they did deliver the sectional very late but no ottoman. My next move is asking them to take back all the furniture refund the money and we will move on to a better furniture company. That will never happen because this poor company probably canât even afford to give us our money back. They do not even want to except responsibility for this problem because after all â we are not the manufactureâ. What a very...
Read moreWhile I love Levin styles of furniture and the amazing clearance area, I was very disappointed with the service I received, as I entered the store I was surprised not to be greeted by a sales person, so I walked through the store looking for someone, as a was headed back towards the entrance I ran into a older lady with grayish hair, she looked at my son who was a bit ahead of me and continue to walk towards the customers who had just enter the store. Never once did she acknowledge us by asking if we needed help. Feeling insulted my son and I headed to customer service area and asked if we could get help, the gentleman at the desk informed us where we could find the item I was searching for and that he would send a sales person to assist us. So as we walked towards the area the customer service person had asked us to, I than noticed the same older person just walking around, she looked towards my way yet again failing to ask the important question, How can I help you? At this point I was ready to leave until my Son who had walked away returned with a sales person. She was very helpful, after our transaction I informed her that I was a customer long long ago who had purchased furniture from Levin and how satisfied I was, but this visit was very unsatisfactory for me based on the treatment we received from this older sales person. I say all this to remind your staff that you can never judge a book nor person by it's cover, maybe we looked young or something, but that no excuse to ignore potential customers. Thank...
