I really love this place! It's owned by two local teachers who have really went out of their way to create a cozy little shop that's not just pushing sales but the whole experience. They have snacks, beverages and plenty of seating. Books include new, old and collectors editions. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I love that they encourage group meetings and people hanging out rather than an in and out sales drive. It's actually my go to for meetings. They also offer trade ins on books and occasionally have amazing sales. Their coffee bubble tea is AMAZING! I hear the others are as well but I've never managed to branch out I love the coffee one so much. My kids of course always opt for the pop and chairs in the kids room and my friends seem to love the other varieties of tea. They also have blind date with a book, bookmarks and tons of advertising for local businesses and events. You will not regret giving this...
Read moreVisited on July 13, 2017. Purchased a hardback for 50c and enjoyed a A&W Root Beer float. It's like walking into a world within a novel. My favorite authors are Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston. The basemet reminded me of the Relic and The Book of the Dead. The ambience of the store is very clubhouse like. Imagine the book store in the movie Never Ending Story. The furniture, building architecture, antiques, wall art felt as if they had been taken out of worlds within the books, either by intention or by accident. I enjoy randomly opening books and reading a few chapters. If you're a fan of Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451, " These books were alive; they spoke to me!". Inklings is a store but really it's what a library should be like. It'd be a great place to read Harry Potter, The Last Apprentice, Harry Dresden, Cirque Du Freak. It looks like how I visioned the attic reading room I want. True book believers will find...
Read moreI love this little place! Staff is always super friendly, attentive and willing to either engage in interesting conversation or leave you to your search. Mostly used books but occasionally some new ones. Huge variety! I love sifting through them, there's honestly never enough time. They're always getting new books in so there's no chance for you to get bored. I have a slight obsession with the bubble tea, I'm in love with the coffee flavored one. It's great being able to come in and just sit and read, it's a great place to meet up with friends or occasionally even clients. And to top it all off the store is owned by local teachers and manned by one of the most dedicated employees you could ever hope for so it feels nice to know I'm supporting our community while I feed my...
