Went here to have lunch today after we seen a friend post pics of the place. We arrived right at opening time. When we entered, there were 3 employees right by the entrance but we were not even greeted as we came in. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and was super clean! The service was decent and pretty fast. There were at least 4 other tables with people being served, along with us, so I was impressed with how fast we received our food. The server wasn’t too sure of questions we asked about the menu. My husband asked for a Laplander Blonde beer and was told they didn’t have it…the explanation given made no sense. The bartender said they were sent that beer by mistake, but yet it was on the menu! Confusing. A little advice also, please add your drinks to the menu. I dislike being asked what I want to drink when I have no idea what you even have!! Our server was nice, but she wasn’t very friendly. I did love the glassware they used for our drinks, very fancy!! The sweet tea was awesome as were the pork belly bites!!! I’d definitely get those again! We also tried the mozzarella sticks. They were good, but not my favorite….wasn’t crazy about the marinara or the ranch either. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich meal. He really liked it…said he would order it again. I had the classic burger with cheese and bacon. While it was ok, it just wasn’t the best burger I’ve ever had. The fries were quite delicious though!! My hubs decided to try a shot of the Peerless Bourbon Whiskey. He liked it quite well…just not the price tag that came with it when the check came…$16.50!!!!!! That’s a little steep in my opinion. I really wanted to try the chocolate cake, but was informed they were out of it. Mind you, there were only 4 desserts listed on the menu to choose from, and they were out of two of them. Disappointing. I would consider coming back, but I would love to see a little more of an extensive menu. Maybe steak, baked potatoes, Mac and cheese, some veggies, chicken tenders, some kind of fish! Those are just a few of my suggestions. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience! It was a slightly pricey lunch though! We had 1 beer, 1 tea, and that whiskey shot, pork belly bites, mozzarella sticks, grilled chicken sandwich meal and classic burger meal, and it was a whopping $73 before the tip!! Just so you know what you’re getting into before you go!!! Being this is a local restaurant in my hometown, I wish them much success!! I hope they can get people to keep coming in and...
Read moreStopped into this location on June 17th aroud 5:30p. When we came in they where very busy but with a new location we expected this. We were seated about 8 minutes after coming into the door. The waitress comes to see us after we sit for about 10 minutes to take our drink order and provide us with a menu. She then comes back about 5 minutes later and ask if we are ready to order and then says that they have ran out of hamburger and probably wouldn't get any in tonight as they use special hamburger not availible in stores. The hamburgers are what everyone we know has raved about and was the sole puprose in us coming in. Running out at 5:30 left a low expectation in my head. I did end up ordering the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. It was prepared beautifully but lacked in BBQ sauce. I was never able to get my waitress's attention to request additional sauce so I just ate it as bland as it was. The sidewinder fries were pretty tasty though, seasoned to perfection.
I will give this location another chance as I really wanted to like it based off of everyone's feedback prior to my experience. I do wish this business the best of luck in succeeding but wanted to also let them know how to improve as I wasn't able to speak to any staff about my concerns when I was in there.
Sidenote to the owner: If you run out of hamburger especially on one of your busiest nights, please place a sign in your window so guest's don't come in with an expecation and have to choose from a VERY...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped in for dinner last night. This was the second time I'd been in since they opened. The decor is fine for bar/pub style. Nothing to write home about but nothing wrong with it, either.
Our server was friendly and great. She took care of us well during our visit.
On to the food... I got a classic burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and garlic aioli along with sidewinder fries. The burger was ok. It was cooked to order the way I had requested. It was neither the best burger I've had in Bedford nor the worst. It was ok. The fries were similarly meh. They needed some kind of seasoning. My wife got the beer cheese burger and fries. She didn't like the fries much. She described her burger in much the same way as I described mine: kinda meh... The mozzarella sticks were pretty good as was the marinara but they also seemed to be the same ones you can get in most other similar bars/pubs.
All in all, it was very meh. Certainly nothing to write home about. The menu had a number of things marked out with marker and there was some confusion about the prices of somethings. Our menu had the $7.50 price tag on the mozz sticks marked out and had $12 written in instead. The website shows $7 and the actual cost on our receipt ended up being $9. That kind of confusion is expected in the first month or so... But they've been open for over a year at this point. Ultimately, I was...
