Always go to the Bozeman Murdoch's during chick days!! This branch, Four Corners, is very rude if you have kiddos and bring them by the chicks. Being owners of a flock of chickens already we stopped by to see if they happened to have a specific breed I was looking for. I was shopping with my husband and our youngest son who is 3. We went to look at the chicks and I happened to tap against the plexiglass softly because one baby looked dead. Afterwards, kept moving down. A employee comes of and scolds my child. I was in shock. I told my son he was alright and not in trouble and I told her it was me and that I thought a chick was dead. The employee then went to another employee named Donna and said something. They both shook their heads and then stood in the way so we could not leave. I have never felt so disrespected at Murdoch's. We spend quite a bit a money every month between both stores and I will make the drive all the way to the 7th store. Thumbs down for the chick handlers...
Read moreThe ONLY place in town to get nuts and bolts. They are the only place that carries a large stock of grade 8 in bulk. At 5.99/lb, you're practically stealing it compared to $2-$3 per small bolt anywhere else. The also carry grade 5 in bulk at $3.49/lb. The only thing they're missing are lock nuts in grade 5 and 8. Stainless in bulk would be nice too.
Ace, home Depot and Lowe's only carry grade 2 in bulk. You might as well use plastic or duct tape than use grade 2. Kenyon carries grade 8 and 5, but not the quantity that Murdoch's has and at a premium per piece pricing (around $2 for a single 1/4" x 3" bolt. You can get close to 8-10 at Murdoch's for that price.)
Great place to search for random hardware for those head scratcher projects too. They have a lot of great stuff. Cheapest place in town for welding stock too. But they don't carry aluminum stock, unfortunately.
The older gentleman that wears the Air Force hat is always great too. Always helpful....
Read moreBought jeans here that didn't fit well. Sometimes you don't have time to try them on and you just figure that your size is going to fit. Brought them back to exchange them and manager says they were clearanced out...(even though they still sell the same jeans) and she'll give me .75¢ credit for each pair that I paid $70 each for. She goes on to suggest that they stopped selling the jeans last year...then why are they still on your shelves? I bought the jeans this year. Ive spent a ton of money in Murdochs on clothes, boots, firearms and this experience has steered me away. How about you just let me exchange the jeans for ones that fit and then zero out the other ones? I bet as a manager you could've done that and made me happy. You seemed to take pleasure in telling me no. That would be...
