United States Postal Service — Local services in Belle Fourche

Horrible customer service. Very rude delivery staff. I'll say that the younger gal and the one lady (Lacey) I believe is her name are nice and do a great job but the blonde woman in the office cuts us off mid sentence constantly, has hung up on the phone, walks away when we are asking a question politely and just refuses to deal with any concerns or issues we have.

We moved to a different apartment and since then our delivery driver refuses to bring any packages up the stairs, today she blamed it on the ice, which there wasn't any, and said that no one was home but we were both sitting in the living room right near the door and would have heard any knocks. She also did not leave a pink missed delivery slip so when we went to ask about it the office worker said " I don't know what you want me to do about it." And walked away.

Strangely enough at our last apartment, we never had an issue at all and those stairs were taller. I've never had any issue with a post office any place I've ever lived and am just shocked at their rudeness. We've even gotten permission from the business downstairs for them to drop off packages there, we signed the paperwork at the post office to confirm it with them but instead they just return it to the post office and don't let us pick it up the same day. UPS and FedEx always deliver to our door but this mail carrier simply doesn't want...

They have MANY issues with deliveries!

They are late every day to deliver regularly to the houses on my street, getting here around 2:30 pm rather than pm like they are supposed to, and have delivered my "2-day shipping" packages a day or more late 3 times now.

Another issue I've had time and time again is signing for a package. I have been home every time I had received a notice for missing a package delivery requiring a signature now, but I haven't been able to sign for it because NOBODY CAME TO MY DOOR TO GET A SIGNATURE! We have a gate, not anything fancy, just a gate due to the fact that our yard is fenced, and not even once has a deliverer ever tried to come to our front door! It is absolutely ridiculous.

Would not recommend, but they are the only post office in town so you're stuck with...

What can I say? It's a post office, the employees are all feeding at the public trough courtesy of the taxpayer, and their attitudes reflect that fact.

Mail should be privatized. It may cost a bit more, but the service would definitely improve.
