My husband and I always enjoy shopping at this store but after today, we will not be returning. We have shopped at this store monthly for 2 years now and love seeing the wide variety of selections the vendors have to offer. 20 minutes before close, they began turning all of the lights off. We continued shopping, planning to buy items and be out by closing time. It was now 10 minutes until closing and we were finishing up looking at a certain item to head out right at 6, which is when they closed, when a woman came up to us and said “The store closes in 8 minutes and the ladies that have been working today are ready to leave and go home. They are tired and ready to go home so if you could go ahead and leave the store, we would appreciate it”. She continued to stand there and stare at us and made us feel very unwelcomed. She told us, not asked, for us to leave the store. As we left, our friend said “We appreciate it, have a good day” which she then changed her tone and said “What did you just say to me?”. Purchased some items and decided to leave them with the cashier so I could continue to shop without hassle etc. when I was done and headed to the counter I was told that my items were taken. I was upset and disappointed. How could a purchase item or items disappear into someone else’s belonging by any acciden??? Got reimbursed for my purchased items but I was not pleased. This was too shady. I left spoke with a manager few days after who told me my items were taken accidentally by another customer ( weird) but okay! She said they offered to take the stuff back. I’ve yet to hear from them and that was that. This was not a coincidence. Someone wanted the items I took the time to find etc How could purchased items go with the wrong customer. And items that’s on lay away and or kept on shelves at the counter which is behind the cashier’s be secured?? And the worse part about it. I could never walk out this store with a candy in my hand type of experience. But somehow the items I purchased coincidentally got taken. I did not buy it. You people should be ashamed...

The hidden secret of the Benbrook Antique Mall is the Jewelry store owned and operated by Rod Stelter. Rod is a Master Jeweler and Watch maker. My family has used Rod since he came here from New Orleans. I have a Tag Heuer watch. I took the watch to a well known local Jewelry company to have the battery changed. Not just anyone can do this, it has to be resealed, they wanted to charge me over $80.00. My Mother recommended Rod. He told me that it would be $12..00! I was nerously excited about the price and tried not to show it. Without looking up Rod told me exactly what it would cost anywhere else. (Busted)! I then asked how he could do it so cheap? He replied "because I am a watch maker, I know exactly what I'm doing, the other places charge so much just incase they mess it up, the difference in price then will cover the repair."
