South Street Rollers — Local services in Benton

by Amber S. on 01/16/2016 This place is full of thieves and pick pockets, as well as rude teenagers that don't think twice about knocking you over or throwing things at you. We lost a wallet and called and went back desperately searching because it contained over $700 and all critical ID info. The owner was hateful and told us not to file a police report. One week later we got a call it had been found and when we went to get the wallet the owner told us to never come back and that we were lucky she called and told us she had it. When I asked where it was found she told me it did not matter. Over $200 was missing, of course. She didn't need to bother banning us anyway, the place stinks and is totally run down and out of control and we had decided to never go back before we realized the wallet...

They have a monopoly on the skating in the area and that they are one of the few places left for entertainment of the youth in the Benton area and because of this they have become somewhat lazy with there hours and management. The staff is largely rude (exept for nice guy with a sweet beard) and act like your an inconvenience to them when you ask for services such as requesting a song or buying refreshments. The building itself seems like it hasn't had maintenance in years the floor for skating has been (at least for the last couple of times I've been there) had water and when they find out they yell at the entire place. Alas I still attend the establishment frequently but I wish someone would open up a rival skating rink because competition...

I wish these people would renovate this place or at least clean it. We only go because my kids want to skate and there is no where else nearby (we only go about once a year though!). My son had a party here and the employee showed up 30 minutes late to open the building, but didn't extend his party time. So SHE wasted 30 minutes of his party and our money. She was also quite rude the entire time, even to the kids. If the owners aren't going to take care of it, they need to sell it to...
