Berea College Farm store is located in the beautiful down town part of berea kentucky. The berea college farm store building is sitting on the back side of berea college. They have a very beautiful water drainage display that has a lot of beautiful rocks and a hugh circle bench thats constructed of the life time wood that was used to make this beautiful circle bench that everybody loves to sit on. We take walks down there late in the evenings and it is a very beautiful place. If you go down there in the warmer months you will see a lot of people that like to walk and sit by there beautifully rock drainage display that they have. There is also a lot of wild life down there, you will mainly see a whole bunch of squirrels. The squirrels are very calm and tame for the most part you will see them all over berea campus if you walk through the college campus grounds. They also is a hugh swing along there side walk kinda in the middle of the campus that is very comfortable to sit and swing on. We could sit and swing on this swing for days. They also have college campus emergency stations that you will see through out the college campus grounds just in case you get in to some trouble or you need police or campus assistance. That is great that they have these through out the grounds to make people feel more at home and safe while you go to college here or just out walking to enjoy the scenery. The college is down town berea so it is really close to a lot of stores and businesses. We feel really safe here on the berea campus and we are you will feel the same. I just moved to Berea from another town in central Kentucky. Being in the agriculture and local food business for many years, I was anxious about the local food assets of my new town. I placed my first order at BCFS on Sunday and picked it up on Wednesday. Everyone with whom I spoke and interacted at BCFS were just wonderful, from the person who confirmed my order by phone to the two students who brought it to my vehicle. I'm very familiar with the local food systems of communities throughout the country, and I can say with certainty that BCFS is one of the strongest local food community assets anywhere in the US. EVERYTHING I ordered was of the highest quality, from the meats, eggs and cheese to the prepared foods like the curry chicken salad, the fresh-baked sandwich bread (OMG!), the savory Danish I ate on the way from the store to my house, and the amazing creation called a Cruffin (a croissant and a muffin had an offspring), a word I'm most happy to add to my vocabulary. If you live in or near Berea, the BCFS, Happy Meadow Health Food Store and the Berea Farmer's markets have EVERYTHING one needs, and the highest quality across the board. The bag was thrown to my husband so we could bag our own purchases. We still said thank you to the boy behind the counter, and he still said nothing. This was our first and last time at the Berea College Store. He overcharged us and was rude. Customer Service people! It’s not the sale you make today, it’s the sales you continue to make in the future that keeps a business alive!
