My recent visit to Franklin Market left me with such an awful feeling that I am vowing to never return. I encountered an astonishingly rude behavior from the little man behind the counter. I had simply asked a harmless question about a bag of chips, wanting to know if I could take one from a box. Instead of getting a yes or no response I was yelled at. This reaction was unexpected and uncalled for. In hindsight I’m frustrated with myself for still making a purchase despite the negative encounter. This was definitely my mistake. What makes this situation particularly disheartening is that I genuinely liked visiting Franklin Market. However this incident has made it clear that my patronage is not valued. Therefore I promise I will never set foot in there again. Franklin Market has lost a loyal customer, and I will for sure take my...
Read moreI never write reviews, but felt so put off with my interaction with the sales clerk/manager? that I wanted to respond, and there’s no email listed to do this privately. I was excited to support this market and have enjoyed stopping in for odds and ends in the past, but the last time I went in I got a stern talking to for setting my items on the counter to request something from the deli case before checking out. I realize it must be a pet peeve of the clerks working there, but no one else was in the store and frankly the attitude ruined my morning and left me not wanting to go back. I wish I were better at on the spot responses, but I was kind of shocked to be dressed down like that. Sorry to inconvenience you with my business. I left 3 stars because the store...
Read moreI live right next to this market and feel so fortunate to have Franklin Bros. It's far from your average corner store. I often go twice a day- to get a fresh coffee and pastry in the morning and again for Acme bread, veggies or wine in the evening. Even though the prices are great, I probably spend way too much money there, but I don't even care because the people are so nice. They know my name (along with many neighborhood faces) and have even let me borrow a tape measure when I needed it. It feels good to give money to a place that is supporting a healthy community. I wish every neighborhood could have a Franklin Bros Market. Thank you for providing an amazing...
