The app messed up one of two orders I placed. I saw one thing on my end of the online order, and employee Erica saw another thing on her end and picked what she saw.
Fine. I get that. She’s only as good as the information she’s given on her end.
However, when I showed her what I ordered on MY end by pulling up the order on the app, she kept stating that I cannot “add on” to an order, even though the order # on MY end clearly showed the item in question as being part of that original order.
I received NO email confirmation from your app, nor did I receive and email that my original order was being modified to reflect the missing item.
Erica needs to realize that SHE is the face of Tractor Supply when a customer comes in. She was so overly concerned with “who was right” that she failed to realize that this was, in fact, Tractor Supply’s error, whether or not she picked the order correctly.
Her attitude was demeaning and acted like I was just interrupting her “busy day”. I’m told she was a a manager. She treated me this way in front of other customers and her subordinates, which is NOT good leadership or customer service.
The interaction ended with her telling an employee to “just give her” (meaning me) the item in question because she was “busy and don’t have time to argue with her”.
I am not the first to have a problem with the poor customer service at the West Berlin, NJ location. There have been issues since this location opened and there are several locals who won’t even shop this location as a result.
Erica and the staff need to realize that if people stop shopping at this location due to their attitudes, it could affect their paychecks and positions in the future.
Upper management needs to see that there is a problem and rectify it by giving their employees the support they need to effectively do their jobs and not take their stress out on the customers.
I’ve been in customer service management long enough to see that these employees are overwhelmed to the point that the customers are feeling their stress it and it is affecting their performance on the front lines.

Read more2/19 Update again: Staff doesn't seem to be a fan of when the dog bath is used. They are incredibly rude. I paid and was walking back to use it and they told me not to enter because they were cleaning. So I stood in the store with my massive new foster dog for about 20 minutes while she took her time cleaning the left half of the dog bath area. Apparently the way it was designed was flawed because the sinks clogs really easily. So instead of fixing it in a way that prevents clogs, the employee then followed me back into the dog bath area and tell me how to wash my dog ("you need to brush first, then clean up all the hair, then brush more then wash that way you won't clog the drain") which I found highly irritating because I do not need supervision. Just put a sign up or something asking to clean the tub portion out prior to rinsing your pet. Stinks there's not another option in the area because I don't want to go back there anymore. When a business makes you feel like an inconvenience for using one of their services, that's a red flag to me.
1/22 Update: went back a few days later and the baths were out of order. She told me to come back the following week but said to call first because they may still be broken.
1/15 Went for the dog bath- did not disappoint. Has everything we needed to get our babies cleaned and dried in a safe manner. The staff was nice and the store was immaculate. So excited to have this new store so close to...
Read moreStaff is INCREDIBLY rude. The manager with dark hair who works nights has been rude to us about the pet bath several times before, today is was the blonde older woman. She told us we could not lock the door, though it looks from the inside and there’s no signage anywhere saying we couldn’t. The other pet bath station is broken, so there’s only one and we were using it, so why would we keep it unlocked ? So our dog who hates baths can push through it and out the front automatic store doors onto the highway? She was getting a BATH meaning if she gets out she has no collar on. Not to mention the woman was incredibly rude,. Complained that we took a second to open the door, while our dog was mid bath. She opened the door JUST to tell us we couldn’t lock it, nothing else, risking my dog getting loose. I will not be back to this location, and I will be informing corporate so both of these women can be handled appropriately for their lack of customer service and human decency. The entire staff there is on their phones, rude, and will just stand around when the store looks like a bomb went off in it. Literally go ANYWHERE else. Their bathing room is filthy, tables have been broken for weeks, and it’s...
