Truly Nourishing Experience with Hillside Organic Catering & Patrick O’Hearn
Working with Hillside Organic Catering and Patrick O’Hearn was one of the most comforting and rewarding parts of our wedding planning experience. From our very first conversation, Patrick exuded a warm, genuine energy that immediately put us at ease and made our decision that whatever venue we chose would allow an outside caterer. He wasn’t just a caterer, he became a trusted guide, friend and supporter throughout the entire process.
Patrick’s passion for locally sourced, organic food was something that really resonated with us. Every dish was crafted with care, not just for flavor, but with thoughtfulness about where it came from and the community it supports. You could taste the freshness and intention in every bite. Our guests are still raving about how delicious and wholesome the food was, it truly added to the magic of the day.
Beyond the food, Patrick offered an incredible amount of support and wisdom. He gave us thoughtful advice on how to stay within budget without compromising on quality. His insights and experience helped relieve so many of the typical wedding stresses, and we always felt we were in capable, caring hands.
One of the things we appreciated most was how open he was to our ideas. He welcomed all of our input and helped us design a personalized menu that felt like us. He also offered the option for us to substitute one of our appetizer options to the end of the night; pizza as a late night snack for the guests who worked up another appetite dancing.
If you’re looking for a caterer who truly cares—about the food, your vision, your peace of mind—Patrick and Hillside Organic Catering are everything you could hope...
Read moreWe held our wedding in Marlboro VT at the Colonel Williams Inn. Hillside catering came highly recommended to us by the Inn! Growing up in Western MA I was very familiar with the Pizza side of Hillside but not the catering! Patrick is an excellent chief. We had chicken Piccata, Italian Pot Roast, & Mushroom Ravioli. The Italian Pot Roast was so good that our very Italian uncle requested to talk to the chief and complement him! The food was perfectly cooked and Hillside was so accommodating when our cocktail hour was moved inside and the food needed to be turned into a buffet. Everyone at the wedding was super excited to have Pizza as an appetizer as well! Patrick gave the same quality at the tasting as the wedding and we were very impressed by the quality all together. Our wedding had a high number of Gluten Free people and Hillside accommodated them nicely making some pizza and appetizers gluten free while having separate pieces of Piccata gluten free as well. Our gluten free guests were very impressed with the food and felt safe eating it as it was so clearly labeled. We truly cannot say enough things about how much we loved the food from Hillside. We have received several messages from people about how this was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, and Scott and I...
Read moreI had ordered finger foods for a rehearsal dinner. Patrick explained that we would need to heat up the phyllo cups, which I agreed to. It was supposed to be delivered but at the last minute employees were out sick so we had to arrange to pick it up, which I understood. But the food came unassembled! My server I hired had to FILL the phyllo cups and then warm them up, and had to MAKE the sliders with the ingredients sent. This was totally unexpected! I wrote to Patrick about it and all he said is he felt the food would have been "fresher" if we did it ourselves. In that case I could have bought the ingredients at a market and made them for much less. He quoted me $20-25 pp and in the end charged me the maximum of $25 pp, despite my dissatisfaction with the food arriving not assembled, as well as having to pay my server to pick it up. If you use Hillside Catering, be sure to ask specific questions on what you...
