DG Market — Local services in Bessemer

This Dollar General located I wouldn't recommend to anyone who's in a wheelchair or has trouble walking or even someone who has no trouble walking down isles. It's completely NOT POSSIBLE AT THIS LOCATION TO WALK DOWN ANY ISLES. The store is in such disarray that at this point I believe it's a hazard. I actually heard a customer say her daughter she had to quickly leave the store due to she suffers from anxiety and not having room to walk down the isles ALONG WITH BOXES ON TOP OF BOXES put her in a panic state. There hours differ daily today they close at 2pm. The amount of unopened supplies is a huge 😳 problem. I visited the location over a week ago and assumed it just hadn't been stocked yet but today I see it's just not being done. So they're stacking supplies anywhere there's space and from my experience there's no more room to stack. This means there's ABSLOUTLY NO INVENTORY ON SHELVES. I wasn't able to buy any items I needed 😪. Be careful if you use this location it's a accident waiting to happen. Along with us customers that use this location currently can't buy from this store due to wall to wall unopened supplies. I don't recommend using The Dollar General at this location. I give this location a 1 outta 10 due to the dangerous conditions at this location. The Restrooms are not usable due to the filthy conditions Personally a huge clean up would maybe have me visit the store again. I said MAYBE. Where they do have a better selection than a few other dollar generals, the employees are the worst. You can only use the self checkout. Which honestly I’m ok with, but at this store, the registers are normally always out of paper, bags or the register was used but a transaction wasn’t completed so you can’t just start scanning things. Now this by itself wouldn’t be horrible but when you go to the register that requires an employee, they are normally sitting by the office on their phones. You can ask them to check you out and they response with “you paying with cash?” The answer for me is no. I pay with a card. They then ALWAYS tell me “then use the self checkout” to which if they hadn’t been sitting there playing on their phones they would know there was an issue. So instead of ringing me or anyone else up, they go investigate with a loud sigh and roll their eyes. They go and realize, ah yes the 3 open self check outs are currently having an issue. They fumble around for a while and get one working and tell me to use that one. Almost implying there was never an issue. I wouldn’t write a review if it was a one off, because stuff happens and I understand, but this has happened the last 5 out of 6 times I’ve gone. The Dollar general is struggling with their inventory it's all out in the aisles they can't seem to get it put up in time before another truck comes and then they got it all piled in the house again I don't know if it's a need more help or the help they got is not working hard enough they may need to check into hiring some more people to just help unload the truck and to stock maybe a different hours have someone come in and stock at night and that way everything won't be in the way because you can't get down the aisles because of all the stock buggies that are in the way and the vendors that are in there are changing things around they don't know anything about the store at all they just in there doing their job putting out material so that be something for you corporate to look at cuz it's not just the Dollar general here in McCalla or in Bessemer it's Dollar general's everywhere it seems like they have strong a struggle putting the stock up inventory up when they when the...
