Donegal Square — Local services in Bethlehem

Great store in the heart of historic Bethlehem that lets me indulge in my passion for my Irish heritage. They have a great selection of items like clothes and jewelry as well as hand carved art, beautiful china tea sets, amazing glassware and kilts. They even have a selection of Irish food items and teas. Also, they are connected by a short flight of stairs to the Irish restaurant McCarthy's Red Stag Pub, which can also be reached via the main entrance right around the corner. They have great food and, of course, Guinness. The restaurant also has a Tea Bar that offers a wide variety of "loose" teas, meaning that they don't have teabags so they require a teaball, for sale. So if you can't find a tea that interests you in the store, you can always pick out your own. I highly recommend both the store and the restaurant. A rare gem. I've lived in NY, NJ, and PA the past 2 decades and this is only one of two places with such an amazing variety of Celtic goods. I mean they have haggis, black pudding and white pudding. They have formal kilt suit rentals. They're attached to a pub that not only has a whiskey membership but also had a counter with the best scones I've ever had. They are just some really nice ppl and I need to thank them so much for taking care of my daughter and I today for our Robert Burns celebration. I love this place. I’ve gone here since I was a younger kid and it always brings out the best of Ireland and the other British isles. It makes me so proud to be Irish and I love how amazing the clothing is. It may be a bit pricey but it will last you for years especially if you take care of it. The staff is so attentive and welcoming just like people back in Ireland. To bring back an atmosphere and vibe from another place across the world isn’t an easy thing to do.
