I had a poor experience here recently when picking up shopped groceries. First it took the individual who I called on the phone from the pickup spot 20+ minutes to bring the groceries out. Which ok, things happen...he said rhere was an issue with the lottery machine he had to fix, and apologized. Then even though we checked the box to accept substitutions, several items were checked off that the store did jot have them. When I had received an earlier phone call regarding substitutions needing to be made, these items were not mentioned. So I assumed they were fulfilled. When I got to the store, I decide to head in and look around because my daughter said the one item is always emailed to us as out of stock when she said it is likely they just don't know where it is. Well, we went in and found almost every out of stock item. Like 5 or 6 items. And the ones they truly did not have we made outright own substitutions. But that is not even what got me the most...when we went up to pay, there were 3 associates standing around talking, and 4 more up at customer service behind the desk and outside the desk...talking. But it took 20 minutes to bring the groceries out? This was all about 9:15pm April 21st, so you can check your cameras. My pickup was for 7pm-8pm but I called and let them know I would be there a little after 8pm. Til we waited the 20 minutes for the order and went in and re-shopped the missing items, and were ready to check out it was 9:15pm. I myself work for a brand and thus have a lot of patience or grocery store operations...but this was truly a disappointing experience and a huge waste of time. I think the associates need more training in...
Read moreWeis on Schoenersville recently changed their hours. Although inconvenient since I like to do my bulk grocery shopping when no one is there, I understood. After completing my shopping, I noticed none of the aisles were open. You have to check yourself out while they (3-4 employees) watch. I had grabbed a turkey since the last time I was there, they had told me you can redeem your points with one. When I asked the associate she said “I didn’t know you had anything to redeem. You can’t do that here. You should have told me” I reminded her that she told me “no aisles were open.” With a big sigh she said “I guess I can try but I would’ve told you to come back.” She walked over to another associate who stated it’s frozen turkeys only that qualify. I let them know it was fine and I would keep it. The same woman that told me I should have let her know what I wanted to buy that day shouted across the store, “ it says frozen right in the paper,” twice. I highly suggest stating somewhere on their new hours that it is express lane only to prevent customers that buy in the bulk and have been for years. I’m saddened to say this incident combined with their new hours and poor customer service has led to me refuse to return to Weis. This has been my grocery store for 15 years and I was thrilled for the upgrades, but not at...
Read moreUpdate 2022: Service has greatly improved. Prices are still sky high, but they have some hard-to-find items and aren't bad if you are just grabbing a thing or two. Their prices are on par with Wegman's though so be prepared if doing a full shopping trip.
Every time I go to this store I leave annoyed. Prices are way too high to begin with and even if you go in there to shop the sale prices whatever's on sale is always out of stock so it's a complete waste of a trip. Also I've lived in this area for three years and I've tried to get a Weis Shopper's card every time I go into the store but their service desk is always closed and no one will help. So having lived and worked near the store for three years I still don't have a card which at this point is not even a big deal because I won't be going back had enough. Also FYI they don't issue rain checks when they failed to keep the items in stock and we're not talking about toilet paper during a pandemic we're talking Basics that they should have had in stock if they were on sale like soda. The store is a waste of time. If I want to save money I'll go to ALDI or Price Rite, and if I need some other stuff that's out of the ordinary I'll go to Giant because at least I'll have it in stock don't waste your time or...
