I went to this McDonald's by Weis on Wednesday April 3rd 2024. Before I approached the speaker, I finished a mobile order on my app, so when I got to the speaker I could tell them my order code. A man told me to wait a minute, so I waited. I saw at the second order speaker, people were ordering and then getting ahead of me. I told the guy on my speaker they were being served, he told me to wait 5 more seconds. I wait, and then tell him my app code.
I get to the 1st window, and the woman there tells me they are "waiting on something" and to go to the second order window and wait. I do. Not much activity is at this 2nd window, but I do see once or twice an employee looking out there. One came in through a door that said exit. I wait 15 minutes, and watch everyone BEHIND me get their stuff at the 1st window and leave. I am still waiting. I honked my horn, several different times at different lengths...nothing. I called the restaurant from my cell phone...no answer. Finally behind me the line was gone. I BACKED UP my car to the first window. The woman who initially told me to wait got an uncomfortable look on her face when she saw me.
She opened the window, and I told her, "Listen, I don't normally get mad, but this is ridiculous. I have been down at the 2nd window you told me to wait at. I've seen everyone behind me getting thier food and leaving. Was I forgotten about or something? What is the hold up?" she went to ask. I was told my order was given to someone else in line!! They were waiting on the cookies, but the order was given to someone else. I told them they should have just communicated with me that they were waiting on the cookies, instead of leaving me at the 2nd window and forgetting about me.
I was asked what my order was, I told them the mobile order for Stefanie and I even showed them on my phone. They looked lost. They did not remember or know what my order was at all anymore. It was NOT a big order - 3 things. I told them, all I ordered was a cheeseburger (CUSTOM - NO onions, NO pickles, EXTRA cheese, EXTRA salt, and mayo...) fries, and 4 cookies.
Another woman comes to the window to talk to me. The first woman says to me, "I got the manager because you are going crazy." How the heck is an angry and upset customer going crazy? That is plain rude and they were INSULTING me. The manager hands me the bag with extras - "pies for my wait..." I check and everything is in there, except the other 2 cookies I ordered. I waited for my other 2 cookies I ordered, equaling 4.
The first woman kept saying sorry, but it was too late. I get home, and what is my cheeseburger???? Pickles, onions, NO mayo, NO extra cheese, exactly what I DID NOT WANT! And I PAID for the extras on the sandwich and did not even get them. Rude staff who insults you, forgets about you, gives your order to someone else, loses your order and then gets it WRONG!! I will continue patronizing the Allentown McDonald's at Union Blvd. I have never had any of these issues happen there, and...

Placed a mobile order and proceeded to the drive through. This location does not have the organization to run two order screens and pick up windows at the same time....period. That's where this fiasco started, and I'm absolutely sure what caused it.
First I'm told to wait.....then I finally give my mobile order code and pull up to the first window. The woman there says "they're waiting on something and to pull up to the second pickup window, which has no one in it. After 15 minutes (or more), and 5 people behind me getting their orders, I finally honk my horn. No response. I take the opportunity to back up to the first pickup window and am immediately greeted with sneers from the employees.
I asked them what the problem was.....and they said they didn't know. I asked why I was sitting at the second pickup window for so long...and was responded to with an irritated "Your order was given to someone else". I asked why I wasn't told that or even being acknowledged...and the woman immediately sneered at me again...and said she was getting the manager because I was "acting out" and appeared crazy.
I asked the manager why I was being treated so poorly, when all I wanted was my order, and AGAIN I received a snarky, irate response from the manager about my order being given to someone else and they had to keep up with current orders.
When I finally did get my order.... literally nothing was right. The burger I ordered through the app had everything I asked to be held, and nothing I asked to be added, which I'm positive was done out of spite.
This location is quite possibly the McDonald's with the worst service in the whole Lehigh Valley. The only way I can see them saving the reputation of this location is a total overhaul of the current staff. Otherwise, this place is gonna go downhill QUICK.

Read moreWent to this location at 5am today because I was in the area. Pulled up to the drive-thru window at 5am. Which is their posted time to open online, on the app, and on their drive thru window. No one answered while I sat there for a few minutes, so I pulled forward to the first window to try and get someone's attention (thinking they didn't notice me pulling up since it was right at opening). I proceeded to sit there for 20 mins.... Multiple associates saw me sitting there with my window down patiently waiting for someome to let me know what was happening or if I could order. Multiple associates asked if my order was taken and the manager herself specifically told them to ignore me because they weren't open yet. Thankfully one associate came over to tell me that they aren't opening until 5:30am because the store is new and a list of other reasons. My issue isn't opening late, it's the fact the the manager herself was too much of a coward to come to the window and simply talk to me wen she clearly saw at the window. All she had to do was explain that they were behind schedule, I would have waited. After seeing the blatant ignoring of customers I decided not to wait and left after the ordeal. Never have I ever heard a manager to ignore customers. What an absolute joke. Would love for the owner of this franchise to reach out because I feel awful that your store is being run by someone who clearly takes no pride in customers service. I feel horrible for the associates who wanted to talk to me but were told not to. How rude. Probably won't ever be back...
