Wild Oats Health Food Store — Local services in Beverly

Addendum: I recently noticed another review on this page about Wild Oats that says "Curse you for getting my hopes up about a real Whole Foods on Cape Ann."

It just doesn't make sense to me that someone would "curse" a hard working, local and top-notch merchant for NOT being whatever this reviewer thought it should have been, even though the name is different and there was no attempt to misrepresent.

I wish people would be less callous about writing reviews that reflect their own poor choices and are not related to any shortcoming on the part of the merchant. Nobody is served by this.

Back to the review: We've been shopping at Tammy's Wild Oats store for 13 years and I swear I won't go anywhere else. All her products are fresher, better quality and priced the same or lower than many super markets, drug stores or other health food stores that carry the same products. Plus, she has products you won't find in those other places. Best of all, Tammy knows her stuff and tells it like it is. And she is very sweet. The store may be small but it's packed floor to ceiling with good stuff. It's even worth a little side trip to get there...

The owner ,Tammy is very, very knowledgeable about health supplements and more. Her store is small and eclectic in foods, vitamins, household gifts and frozen foods. She has gluten-free items also. There's Belgium chocolate! Dog toys! Cold prevention remedies and immunity enhancers! Best of all to me was that she will order things she doesn't have for you as she did for me . And she's open minded to new products such as I requested. She studies the ingredients and gives you information about the product. My store closed after 27 years in using them and WILD OATS is now my favorite health food store. It's an extra ten minutes drive for me , but well worth it. Beverly Farms has some quaint shops nearby, and extra parking at library or train station...

I don't want to tell you how good this place is so it doesn't get too crowded when everyone goes to ask Tammy for guidance, or to buy the amazing products, or just to get inspired to be more healthy, but I guess I will.. It is AMAZING!! You will fall in love! I have taken two people (separately) here in the last month, who (whom?) I have also taken to Appleton Farms, and the library, Crane Beach, the bookstore, and other Beverly spots, and they thought THIS was the most fun! (Yes, it is a health food...
