Porter's — Local services in Big Spring

I love porters for certain things. They are fast to get in and out of. They sell everything from groceries to power tools. Their prices are not bad on most things. You can get a better deal for coffee creamer elsewhere for sure. They lack in fresh meat..they carry only frozen, and they do not carry alot of each on the shelves, but they do have a good variety of things for the small area that the meats cover. They have decent fresh produce, good pantry selections, and some really fun seasonings, rubs and marinades. They have a decent selection of wines and beer. They have a small but good selection of ice cream cakes for Birthdays. The best things about Porters are: The lines are short. The checkers are friendly. The carts are right in the front middle and always there. They offer to take your groceries yo your car and load them. I love the way the store looks. It looks like one of the more expensive stores like whole foods. They sell a wide variety of things including nails, hammers, car car things, and again power tools etc. I love that you can go here and not walk a mile through a big grocery chain, or a hardware store for basic stuff, you don't stand in line forever. They don't have 20 cash register lines amd only two that are open. They bag your groceries while they check you out. They are always friendly. They always offer to take your groceries to the car. I shop here more often than HEB or Walmart for all of my quick run to the store trips. I also love to be surprised by the interesting things they sell besides groceries, and I tend to pick up a few of them here and there on my trips. I...

Watch out Walmart and HEB, there's a new grocer in town!!! Porters not only offers a superb collection of wines and excellent customer service that hands down beats the other guys. They also have a THE BEST looking produce in town for miles around. Don't let the "fancy" appearance fool you, the good prices are similar if not cheaper than the other stores in town, although I would recommend getting toiletries at Walmart.

Nice place to go if your in a hurry because there is usually ( from what I have seen) never more than 10 to 12 cars in the parking lot. It's a clean store, however, I feel like the quality of the products they carry isn't that great. Their produce is what I have the most problems with. It seems like their bananas are either too green or almost rotten. Every occasion that I have tried to by a small container of blueberries, there had been mold in every container.
