Dollar General — Local services in Birmingham

Every aisle had either new product waiting to be shelved or stock on the floor as if knocked off shelves or both. It was hard to get around with aisles blocked with boxes and/or stock totally blocking the way. To be fair I watched a shopper looking at plush toys and after examining each tossing it on the floor before reaching for the next which also was tossed to the floor. It appeared to be only one employee in the store who was working the checkout. Staffing is obviously an issue but it makes no sense to have boxes all over the store if no one is able to work on stocking. It would make for better shopping if product remained in the stock room until someone was able to get it out and on shelves. This particular store is often in this state but rarely as bad as...

I came in the store yesterday early morning the Pretty lady who opened with lip piercing and feathered hair was so sweet and helpful as she always has been whenever I come in to shop. She is a awesome sales person andcashier. I've watched her stock and rush to ring up customers. I have been in there where she tries to do her best but other customers are rude to her. This young lady is awesome. She goes above and beyond to do her Job Long as she there I will always shop in there her customer service...

This store seems to be a pretty busy and hard store to run in general. But has really came a long way over the last few years!!! The manager that's there now is absolutely a perfect fit for this store. She is a very hard worker and always there. There have never been any employees that have stayed very long, until now. That really says something about the way the store is being ran. They all do a good job keeping everything stocked and organized. Keep up...
