Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Birmingham

I have been ordering via the app and getting my orders delivered from this location for 3 years, only to place an order today and it get canceled with no call as a reason to why it was being canceled. I have never had a problem with this location until today. When I called to see why my order was canceled, I was told that I am outside of the delivery rage?! While asking questions trying to get an understanding as to why they couldn't deliver to my address all the girl could keep saying was that I was outside of the area they can deliver to. I asked if they made some type of update that wouldn't allow them to deliver this area and she stated that she didn't know, but she called her GM and they told her that I would have to get it delivered via doordash or go pick it up. It's very disappointing that they don't notify there regular customers of things like this or that the app would let you place a delivery order to a store that doesn't deliver to...

I got the confirmation email that my order had been placed at 11:53 AM. After about two hours, I checked the order tracker, and it claimed my order was "being boxed". I waited another 30 minutes, and checked again; the tracker said the same thing. It's now been 3 hours and 10 minutes. I've called to see what was up and/or cancel my order, but the line is constantly busy. I can't imagine, even with a high volume of orders placed less than an hour after opening, that ordering a small pizza, bread sticks, and dessert should take over 3 hours to be delivered.

I have somewhere to be, and I still have no idea if I'm going to get my order. I'm a pretty relaxed and respectful customer, overall, but this is absurd. I don't feel entitled or think I'm being unrealistic in being agitated about this. If you order lunch, spending over $30.00 and prepay a tip, you shouldn't have to wait till dinnertime...

We had a Christmas Party and I had spoken to a manager and talked about placing order for early the next week and we went over pricing. I tried to call back for days and couldn’t get an answer. I went in the store as soon as they opened to speak to the manager because the party was today. I found out that the manager I spoke to wasn’t from that store so the store manager there had no clue, but he went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. I knew it threw him off that we needed so many pizzas in basically 2 hrs but he didn’t complain. He actually was able to give me a better deal than the other guy. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we had the pizza at the time needed even though I was running behind. And the pizzas were still hot! Thanks so much the kids loved it! Next time I need to order more...
