Piggly Wiggly East Lake — Local services in Birmingham

Today, I broke my rule of not going to a store on a holiday because I needed to buy some water. This location is closest to me and that's where I went. I normally have a pretty good experience here. But today was different. I called myself helping the cashier by scanning my case of water for them. When he was done wringing up my other items, he asked me about the case of water. To which I replied, "Remember when I took your scan gun earlier. I was scanning my water." Then, I pointed to it on his screen and added, "I was just trying to help you when I should have just let you do your job." He still wasn't convinced and was still looking over my receipt for the water AFTER I paid. I do NOT like how that made me feel because I'm HONEST and I work HARD for my money. I will not be helping in this capacity again. I worked in customer service, and I know there are rules, etc. I just don't like being made to feel like I was stealing something I...

I get so tired of these stores closing earlier than their hours say. I got there 10 minutes early before closing time and just needed one item and I would have been in and out in 3 minutes but the security guard yelled at me when I was about to walk saying I couldn’t go in because they were closed when I could see the doors on the inside open and people walking around on there. I don’t understand why businesses don’t want my money during business hours. That is the biggest thing to turn me away from a going back to a place of business. I’ll let anyone that is in earshot hear about the way I feel about this locations business practices. Talking about making me feel like t wanted somewhere. Try being yelled at across the parking lot like you’re attempting to break the law or something....

This location is near my neck of the woods. I will go here when I don't feel like driving to my favorite grocery store in the Eastwood area. Some of their prices are good...but this location charges an extra 10% charge. Not sure if you are actually saving money or not. Haven't done the math to figure it out yet.

The workers are nice sometimes...sometimes I question if they know what good customer service is. I have no problem with the quality of the food. It's usually crowded, especially around holidays.

Summary: I shop here for convenience. I shop here when I feel lazy and don't want to drive 3 miles to my favorite store. It's not a bad place to shop. It's just not my favorite. It fits the need to grab something quick and fast. Nothing...
