Urbano Taco -Bar — Restaurant in Birmingham

The food is a good 4 star, but I'm giving a 5 rating for location. Now I can finally get a burrito bowl without driving all the way to Trussville or downtown, excellent convenience location right off of the highway. I'll be a frequent flyer here.

Now, onto the food. The chicken was standard, nothing to criticize or right home about. The al pastor is good, well seasoned with nice juicy chunks of pineapple. The campechano was good and well seasoned, but I'm pretty sure it was just ground beef instead of a beef & chorizo blend. I don't mind, it was still delicious. The beans & rice are nicely seasoned and tender, and they put fajita peppers in the bowl. I'm pretty sure they use Herdez creamy salsa verde, but that's the sauce I use at home too, so it's fine.

The portions are a good size, especially the bowl. Next time I go, I'm trying the carnitas, the asada and the chorizo.

Hey hey❤️ I literally just ordered through (Postmates) a beef taco with extra meat & 3 steak cascades( i know i spelled it wrong but moving on). I thoroughly enjoyed the taco bowl, which came with a generous portion of food. I chose the Al Pastor protein, and it was packed with flavor. The taco truck is conveniently located on the side of a gas station. While there were some panhandlers in the area, which is typical for the inner city, it didn’t detract from the experience.
