As much as I wanted to make this place my braiding salon home, I just cannot! I called on Sunday to schedule my next day appointment. I asked how much knotless box braids are. The woman I spoke with stated they start at $180 but the price will vary based on the size and length. I tried to explain what I wanted but she stated I will have to pick the size once I get to the salon. She also said they were offering 20% off.

When I arrived, they were prompt with getting me started on time. I asked them where are the size options for me to choose from? I informed them I wanted smedium braids, they showed me a picture of work they’ve done before I said ok. She then told me my price would be $280. I asked did that include the 20% I was promised. She looked to the lady I spoke to one phone the day before and she confirmed she offered me 20% then preceded to say we will give you $20 off. I should’ve gotten up then.

I had 3 people braiding my hair. One was starting off the braids while the other finished braiding them down. I brought my own hair (they didn’t take money off for that) and the main braider said the hair isn’t good because it’s softer than what they usually use. I’ve had my hair braided plenty times with that hair and no issues. When she started on the back of my head she told me the parts on the last row would be bigger so that they don’t fall out. I said that was fine. As she continued to work up on the back of my head it felt like the parts continued to be bigger. I literally asked her was she making the rest of the rows the same size as the front she lied and said yes. I even heard the other braiders mention she was making them too big.

They didn’t give me a mirror once they finished. When I got home I seen the back and confirmed the main braider indeed was doing exactly what I thought she was. My braid size is much bigger in the back.

I’m so disappointed because people had such great reviews about this place. To pay $260 for inconsistent work is ridiculous. That was their first and last time...

If you're looking for a safe, clean, professional environment. Along with doing really good hair. This is definitely the braiding salon for YOU!!!!! I often wear wigs during the fall being as though I have natural hair. I always like to protect my hair during the colder months. I was looking for a salon that could cornrow my hair neatly and time efficiently. I went online and I found this salon. I was crossing my fingers that they could take me that actual day. It was late in the evening and I had to work that night!!!! I called and I was greeted by Nimaah via telephone. She told me I could come in. It was 6:00pm! I was so excited. I was sure she would tell me to schedule for another day. She kindly told me that she would be waiting for me. When I arrived. I was greeted by Nimaah and staff. Everyone was sooo welcoming. Did I mention how clean the place is??? I'm a registered nurse so trust me anywhere I'm serviced needs to clean!!!! This place smelled good and was immaculant!!! Everyone had on a mask! There was no cell phone usage which is a plus because I don't want anyone talking over my ear! Especially during these times!!!Although I was only getting cornrows I observed the other styles that customers were receiving. They were all beautiful!!!!!! Now back to my cornrows... Nimaah did a great job not only were they affordable she was so easy on my hair. Very gentle and mindful of the fact I told her I didn't want them tight. They were not frumpy or lumpy. I always like my cornrows laid perfectly under my wig because while at work I wear my cornrows, and on weekends I'm wearing my wig. So yes the cornrows need to be pretty. I would rate this a 4.5 out of 5. I booked an appointment for knotless braids at 8:00 am on Thursday. I made sure to arrive on time because I know how some braiders like to charge a late fee if you are not. The lady who braided my hair was about 10 minutes behind and she did call and let me know that which is fine. After she arrived she had to clean the shop which took another 35 minutes. So she did not start my hair until 8:45 am. Eventually another braider arrived and helped her with my braid my hair which I really liked so it cut the time down significantly. Normally when I get my hair braided it usually sun up to sun down. It took the two of them a total of 5 hours to achieve Smedium waist length braids. I love them everything about them, it was just what I wanted. And if you do what your ends curled make sure to tell them before they start your hair otherwise they will be a little upset if you tell them when they are finishing up. They told me if I wanted me ends curled it wouldn’t be a lot of hair at the bottom since they braided all the way to end. But mine are perfect because I did not want a long curls at the bottom.
