My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try today after several acquaintances raved about it. It was immediately noticeable upon entry that it was filthy. The floor was sticky. The customer service counter was disheveled and dirty. The kitchen door was ajar and you could see it resembled a filthy storage unit. We were not greeted upon approaching the counter though there were 2 employees present. They conversed with each other and returned to the kitchen. We waited for 20 minutes yet no one came to take our order.
Finally, a gentlemen emerges from the kitchen who appeared to be the owner. He did not have on a mask. We are in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic and neither he nor the other four patrons waiting were wearing masks. He was on the phone and motioned for us to wait. He then proceeded to continue his phone conversation in our presence on hot peppers he urgently needed for his suya. This continued for 10 minutes with no inquiry on our order so we decided to leave. He made no effort to usher us back in but continued his phone conversation. Quite frankly, our exit should have occurred much earlier.
We never plan on returning as their nonchalant service implies they place no value on their customers’ time or business. Most importantly, we refuse to eat food made in a highly unsanitary...
Read moreWorst experience ever. I am not sure who reviewed this place, but I have been there 4 times and each time they have gotten work. No customer service at all and the place is very filthy. I will not be returning.
Wait Time: They make you wait while ignoring you and carry on no work-related conversations. Today the lady at the counter kept me waiting in line for over 15 minutes while carrying on a long jovial conversation. Even after her friend left, she left me at the counter waiting.
Cleanliness: This place is filthy and nothing works. The always non-working refrigerators only have warm drinks in it. Additionally, the floor is always oily. This means the floor is rarely or never mopped, or mopped with dirty water.
Friendliness of Staff: Whether you call or visit, the women that pick up the phone are so rude. They treat you like you owe them money or that you are bothering them. This is the most unprofessional staff I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. Unless you enjoy paying for insulting behavior and sub-par service, find another place to spend your hard-earned money.
Am sure the only reason people return is because the food is tasty. That may be due to all the bacterias running around this site....
Read moreI love this place the suya comes in packing like in Nigeria. It does not come on the stick. So for the people who want the stick, it is not.I love it the way they have it. It comes just like you were in Nigeria, if you bought it off the corner or in the market it will come in a package. I also like the meat pies and is very very good. I also had some of their jollof rice it is good as well.I ordered bitter leaf soup so I haven't tried it yet but I will let you guys know how that taste so keep an eye out for an update 🙂. But this is a restaurant that is a hidden Jewel it is almost like a takeout restaurant and that's exactly how they handle customers as in take out. they also do catering but this is a Mom and pop's restaurant not one of those elaborate Nigerian cuisine restaurants they're definitely affordable and you can feed the family with no steep hit to the pocket or budget. if I had to choose between this restaurant and jollof etcetera I would choose mom and pop's over jollof etcetera because their overpriced and they're not friendly... I hope this helped see you guys next...
