I never thought I'd feel this way toward a music store but, with technology the way it is now it just isn't very convenient to go physically flipping through countless cd's hoping to find a "gem".
It does feel good when you do find a missing artifact for your collection but it doesn't happen all too often. It is fun but the payout doesn't usually justify spending hours looking without much finding.
The decline of ppl who actually buy physical music has made the selection of used material very slim as well. I know I won't ever need something so bad as to buy a new copy.
This store is like some other stores, they have people there who may possibly help you with a question or ring your transaction up but, each time I've been to this one staff kinda sticks to themselves. Not that I'd expect a Bestbuy type of experience though, it is after all a dying format.
So all that said. The basics. I do like the opportunity of looking at a product in my hand. The prices aren't enticing enough to draw me back regularly. Not much for employee ambition. Ever present but expected smell of basement. They used to let you test used music, not sure anymore since anything can be looked up and played on your phone in seconds.
There is more to say on how I feel but, this has been too wordy since the 1st sentence.

Read moreTo those wanting physical media, (Vinyl, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, Blu Ray) Cheapo is the place to go. This location has a reputation for having one of the areas largest metal collection of music. Store is organized by genre and then alphabetically within the genre to make finding something in particular easy. They have a mix of used and new inventory, with new arrivals of CDs grouped by the day they came in. That's a fun area to browse for the "freshest picks." CDs reasonably priced, I'd say the average price is about $6. All used CDs and DVDs I've ever purchased are in excellent, almost like new condition.Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Also music related T-shirts, stickers, buttons, coffee mugs, etc. and a massive music and movie poster selection! Awesome place for music related gifts and...
Read moreCheapo Records in Blaine is great to deal with!
They have a wonderful selection of vinyl records and cds, both used and new.
In regard to their vinyl records, they are normally spot on with their grading. If f anything, they seem to grade a touch lower than what it sounds like to me. They are more than fair and accurate with grading vinyl. On the rare occasion something was off, they fixed it,
The pricing at Cheap Blaine is undeniably fair. Be it CDs or records.
I would like to add the staff is very friendly and simply excellent to deal with. Just a bunch of good people who if you are looking for something in particular, they are more than willing to help.
