I had a really really bad experience with one of the employees. I contacted the manager who basically told me all her employees are wonderful and would never be hostile, but because I came less than an hour before closing; maybe they were stressed, and having a bad day and that she would ācoachā them.
Eventually the manager became talkative but initially even her response was cold, suspicious and unnecessarily unwelcoming and I wondered if this was why the employees felt entitled to be nasty for no reason.
Itās such a shame because this had never happened there before. Why 17 yo girls are given the right to be unhelpful and mean is beyond comprehension. At the point they feel entitled to verbally attack customers asking what aisle to find something in, is the point I am going to keep recommending people go elsewhere.
As per the manager - when ābad things happenā we should all use it as a way to grow. Honestly, I came for gardening supplies, not a life coach talk.
When someone is being abusive because I asked what aisle something was in - the abusiveness is NOT time for psychodynamic reflection. I am (was) a customer. If you canāt keep your business kind and respectful for people who shop there - we wonāt shop there.
Shame on you - all of you - including the less intelligent one who acted this way....

I tried Loweās, as I used to be a manager at Loweās and I still know some people there. Not that I was gonna get a great deal or anything. Anyway, Lowes had no access to any Ego ride on mowers. So I googled Ego lawn mowers and found that Ace was also a provider. So I called the Blairstown Ace Hardware and spoke to Eric the salesman. Eric informed me that they had access to Ego lawnmowers and I could even access one online at a huge discount. So we went along with the sale and I informed themI that I needed it delivered. They said that would not be a problem. So I asked how do we set that up and they were like donāt worry about it weāll get in touch with you. Which led for the owner to call me and inform me that he was gonna take care of the delivery charge and he would find someone to deliver it since he did not have access to a vehicle big enough to deliver the lawnmower. They were fantastic from the beginning phone call to the end....

A lady with what looked like dyed red hair who I had never seen there before was working the other. She called for next in line once, then another time in my face giving me a dirty look. I moved from the register I was at to her, and the next person in line then took the spot where I was. She rung me up saying everything with a nasty tone and then shoved the receipt at me.
Iām just going to make the drive to Lowes next time where at least the employees donāt act like that. Not to mention itās way cheaper for the...
