Buckhill I DO NOT reccomend. So many of the waitress, bartenders and managers including Wayne and Jackie treat us patrons like total trash. We always hear the staff making fun and talking bad about people at tables its terrible. Making fun of a handicapped autistic boy eating there what are they thinking !!

Often youll find hair in your food thats a normal thing here. A dead bug was in the pasta ! We see them dropping silverware on the floor and still wrapping it in the napkins. Leaving the empty food dishes on the table until its time to pay the bill then they only take them away to sweet up for tips. Need to walk to the var for drinks the waiters early come to the tables.

The food will come out overcooked. Sauteed vegetables come out like baby food mush. Salmon is very dry like chaulk. They dont know how to store their ice cream a big peice of ice went into someones mouth from the ice cream stored incorrectly it largly crystallized. They put cayenne pepper in the sweet potatoes putting the mouth on fire its not on the menu description it ruined the taste buds for the rest of the meal and I had to pay for thier mistake.

They switched to frozen chicken fingers to use as their pretend breaded chicken parm dinners ! They pick up the the potato chips without gloves on and put them onto the plates. They use their dirty phones in their back pocket and dont clean their grimey touch screen computers then touch our plates, silverware and food. I wonder how often does each employee and cook actually wash their hands. You think the phones would be banned and be locked in the cars while on duty!

When you pull in often you'll usually see the cooks smoking cigerattes outside in the parking lot. Are they washing their hands afterwards? I was told they didnt by a staff member. I can go on...

But its our fault this all happens right - because we cook and serve the food, we are the managers, we are the absentee owners, and we are the bartenders screwing up and huddling in the corner whispering about the people paying alot of money to eat here?

No, we are at the tables quielty eating, paying and hoping they operate professionally trying to enoy our outing!

If they ask how things are and if ppl answer honestly that their food wasnt cooked right or something wasnt legitimately right and it was legitimate to say then they need to accept the feed back and improve not double down and cover up the place.

They come to the table/bar and get irate, defensive, then berate, humiliate, and talk down to us ppl in front of the entire restaurant and belittle us for simply answering how the food came out or how the experiance was. Managers Wayne and Jackie do this its a big problem but the seemingly absentee owners seem to not care its a total circus.

We explained to Wayne and Jackie that if they dont want to hear our honest feedback then do not ask for it its that simple. After they come to the table and totally ruin the dinner and after belittling us people then they hand the bill down wanting us poeple to pay for our destroyed dinner that they and the their staff directly caused.

These managers have absolutely no idea of how to manage, not even themselves.

How nice the building looks has nothing to to do with their restaurant quality, it only means the building contractor did a nice job so do not be fooled by curb appeal. It has nothing to do with food quality, selection, service, managment, or staff.

Jay the previous owner would never let this happen if he knew. This is why he was there all the time because he didnt like the managment he watched them and was going to fire them all right before his unexpteced death this year they are lucky to be there still. Post Time Pub is a hidden gem on main street, try it - its superior, great owner,...

Stopped in for a late lunch the first weekend in December. Judging from the other cars in the lot, seems like lots of people stop here after cutting down a Christmas tree from the many farms that surround this area. A special shout out to Glen View Farm for the great treat.

The lot was full and when we checked in was told the wait would be about 25 minutes. The took our phone number which was nice because it allowed us to wait in the car. As promised out table was ready as promised and we went inside and was seated immediately.

No doubt the restaurant was packed for a Sunday afternoon. Started my lunch with Bud's Resume (Double IPA, hints of citrus and pine, very smooth for the IBU) which was cold and tasty.

We started of with the Gorgonzola Bruschetta (crostinis, tomato bruschetta, gorgonzola sauce) While tasty, most crostinis that I have encountered are usually thinner slices of bread with a slight crisp to them. While the tops of the bread we were served may have been toasted, the overall bread was thicker than I'm used to and was more consistent with brushetta on a hunk if Italian bread. Once again, not bad, just not what I envisioned when I ordered. Everyone has a unique recipe and the appatizer was just not what I expected.

We ordered the 10 oz CAB Burger (Certified Angus Beef - lettuce, tomato, onion), the Buck Hill Signature Burger (stout maple glaze, onion ring, applewood bacon) and the Black Bean Burger (lettuce, tomato, onion, ancho chile aioli)

All three burgers were tasty. Happy they offered a vegetarian option which is not always the case.

The service was a bit on the slow side, but I will say that they were trying their best, and no doubt they were bombarded by tree cutters like myself who flooded the restuarnt.

While I'm sure there were signs posting about the cash and credit card policy, was slightly annoyed that there was a cash price and a credit card price. I do get that many restuarnts are now doing this but i still find it annoying being that I hardly carry cash around and the fact that the stop was impulsive. I do get that businesses do get charged by the credit card companies and all, but I see this happening more and more where businesses pass on the cost to the consumer. While it was only $3.18, it was not the end of the world but was still annoying nonetheless.

With that, despite the minor hiccups, my two teenagers left happy. This is something that does not happen often. There were vegertain options which always raises the bar when writing reviews in which I'm ordering a vegetarian meal. My burger, The Buck Hill Signature Burger was super tasty and the beer was cold which is a win in my book. Definitely worth stopping in. When heading for the tree next year, will be sure to bring extra cash so I don't complain about the $3.18...

On my most recent visit, I was highly disappointed with my meal and service, so let me break it down:

Putin: The gravy was good. However, the presentation of the food—the sliced roast beef on top of the fries—and way too much cheap cheese made this dish a fail.

Buck Hill Burger: The presentation was interesting, but it was as good as it got. The beef patty was decent meat, but it's a frozen patty cooked to order. For $19, I can make the same thing at home with a handmade patty, so I'll never order it again.

Sweet potato fries: I was unaware of a $5 upcharge for burnt sweet fries. I had four fries and left the rest. The only reason I even remotely got these is that the server gave me a list of side options without telling me there was an upcharge if I ordered something different. Needless to say, I just reduced my tip by $5. I don't usually eat fries, so I gave the sweet potato a shot, and it was unsatisfactory.

The waitress: She was friendly but nothing special. I would've appreciated a heads-up on the upcharge, but when you work for tips, it's all sell, sell, sell.

Jays Spare Tire beer: Excellent choice, the only thing I enjoyed.

Update to respond to owner:

If the burger is not "frozen," it's absolutely a premade patty that's been sitting around a refrigerator for some time. It is not possible for a patty to consistently have the same perfectly rounded edges without being pressed and put away. If a reader doesn't believe me, Google frozen patty vs handmade patty, order a burger in the restaurant, and compare the two. Also, premade patties are harder to bite into and don't break away as easily, so I repeat, the burger is an absolute no-go.

As for the upcharge being only $3, my bill clearly stated BH Burger is $24, so that's $19 + $5. And I repeat, the waitress upsold me without telling me it was an upcharge. I asked for a burger and was given a list of options without explaining an upcharge. I should have read the menu more carefully, but I didn't think I was signing a legal contract to order a burger. I'll be sure to do my due diligence in the future.

Lastly, I didn't ask for a manager because, as terrible as my meal was, I was not looking for free food, an apology, or a new dish. This review is for future patrons, myself, and the restaurant to step...

We were headed West on I80 when my wife commented she saw an exit to a brewery in NJ. She asked, You want to go? I was like a kid ready for Chuck E. Cheese. We exit & go on a hilly rural road. We are not familiar with this area. We were near the Delaware Water Gap. We were in the quaint town of Blairstown, New Jersey. The restaurant is located in a historic mill building. Its on a rural intersection. It comes up quickly as you drive from I80. The building is up a hill so not easy to spot from our direction. You drive up this steep driveway. I am a mechanical wheelchair user so accessibilty is a must. They have a walkway to the entrance but the doorways into the building are tight so the host helped open doors. The interior is spacious and airy, with exposed brick walls and wooden beams. The tables are well-spaced, and there is a large bar area with a variety of seating options. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a rustic decor that complements the brewery's industrial feel, although I think the TV screens and what is shown take away from the charm & from the immersion into the libation. It offers a wide variety of craft beers, as well as a menu of American cuisine. We didn't eat just had 1 beer, my wife, a flight. But it was one of the best beers in these parts, meaning from our trip visiting New York City for 5 days, and now returning. I am a craft beer lover. I had the Anniversary Hazy IPA. They have a nice beer selection. The brewery offers a variety of year-round beers, as well as seasonal and specialty brews. Some of the popular beers include the Buck Hill IPA, the Brown Ale, and the Hefeweizen. The brewery also offers a flight of four beers, which is a great way to sample a variety of brews. The service at Buck Hill is friendly and attentive. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and the beer selection, and they are happy to make recommendations. We were there around 1:30pm. But when the place gets crowded, a wheelchair can be difficult to maneuver. Overall, Buck Hill Brewery & Restaurant is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal and a pint of craft beer.

I recently dined at the Buck Hill Brewery & Restaurant, wanted to share my recent unpleasant experience. I have dinned at this Restaurant a few times prior with friends so this isn't first time at this Restaurant. Prior experiences were just OK and found the food way overpriced for what you get service is mediocre, found some of the staff lacking in customer service spent more time BS-ing by the bar than customer service and on one occasion rude. About the meal, I ordered the Buck Hill Signature burger, and my spouse ordered the Memphis Mac N' Cheese. We dinned there around 4pm in the afternoon and was basically empty so I figured we would get served quick since it was only the two of us. We waited about 15 minutes before being waited on ordered two ice-teas $4.50 each which didn't take long to receive. Ordered two Lobster Bisque cups of soup with hardly any pieces of lobster in it and the soup was lukewarm nothing to speak of at $9.50 each. Waitress came back to take our oder ordered the Burger Medium, was cooked more Medium Well and was dry, not juicy at all. For a $20 Burger I expected better I have had a far better Steak Burger at Longhorn for much less. The worst was the $25 Memphis Mac N' Cheese was more Mac N' Cheese soup than anything else. The Cheese was watery, with fatty pieces of Pulled Pork, and Ham buried under the Cheese. The Fried Chicken on top was dry and fatty as well. It just looked like no thought was put into this dish and all slopped together in efforts to hide the poor ingredients under the Cheese and Pretzel Bread Crumbs. If it wasn't that we were in a rush would have sent both meals back as unacceptable. I wouldn't waste your time or money at this place drive 15 minutes over the Gap you can get a better meal at Longhorn with better service also.
