Quinn's Market in Peckville: A Community Staple with Opportunities for Enhancement
General Overview: Quinn's Market stands as a cornerstone of the Peckville community, boasting a commendable 4.3-star rating across 667 reviews. It presents a comprehensive shopping experience with noted strengths in its deli, produce, and cleanliness. The feedback from patrons such as Melissa Mocco and Jane Malloy highlights the convenience and friendliness that Quinn's Market is known for, reinforcing its role as a trusted local grocer.
Store Cleanliness and Layout: A hallmark feature of Quinn's Market is its spotless environment. Shoppers, including Jane Malloy, have consistently praised the store's cleanliness—a testament to the staff's dedication and the management's oversight. A clean store not only enhances the shopping experience but also ensures that the food, especially fresh produce, is presented in a hygienic setting.
Customer Service: The staff's friendliness is a recurrent theme in customer reviews. There is an apparent culture of helpfulness and community service, which resonates with shoppers who require assistance during their visit. The owner's responses to reviews demonstrate an engagement with customers and a willingness to provide a personal touch to the shopping experience.
Pricing and Sales: Despite the many positives, pricing remains a concern, as noted by Eric Mecca. While some customers find the sale items to be of great value, others perceive the prices to be on the higher end when compared to other local alternatives. This dichotomy suggests that while sales are a draw, regular pricing may benefit from re-evaluation to stay competitive in a market where consumers are increasingly price-sensitive.
Employee Performance: C Blanchard's feedback indicates that there might be a discrepancy in the performance of newer employees compared to the longstanding quality of service that customers have come to expect. This is an important aspect for Quinn's Market to address, as consistent customer service is key to maintaining loyalty and reputation. I have found everyone to be very cordial in my trips to the market, including the other shoppers.
Product Selection and Availability: The availability and selection of goods at Quinn's Market have received praise, notably from Jay Graham, who considers it superior to other local options. This reinforces Quinn's Market's status as a reliable place for diverse grocery needs, ranging from everyday staples to more specific items.
Concluding Remarks: In essence, Quinn's Market serves as a vital shopping venue in Peckville, PA. It's clear that while there are areas for improvement—especially in terms of pricing strategy and staff training—the store has a solid foundation of cleanliness, friendly service, and a good selection of products. The constructive criticism offered by various patrons points towards growth opportunities, which, if heeded, could further solidify Quinn's Market's position as a preferred grocery...
Read moreAt Quinn' Mkt today..was intending to look only for a small cole slaw for lunch..not to shop for groceries, since it is far from home + was just passing by. Once inside I was very jmpressed with the cleanliness + wide, uncluttered aisles. Easily could see the deli in back of store from the front end. Saw huge variety in produce section and was stunned by the large array of deli meals in coolers...pasta, meatloaf, chicken, turkey, chicken parmagiana wth pasta, all with roasted or sauteed veg's (including sweet potatoes), rice, or mashed potatoes. There were chicken salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, seafood salad, huluski, etc, and my macaroni salad. Now, most of these items are featured in all local stores; however, at Quinn's nothing was covered with an ocean of gravy, containers were compact plastic, not clumsy styrofoam nor unnecessarily large, cumbersome plastic compartmentalized plates that don't fit well jn bags and take up too much space in your home recyclable bin. Also the variety of the meals was vast...all looking fresh. At CHECKOUT there were many registers open, but I went to customer service, where I was politely accomodated and where the exit was very close. The customer service had a wide open area in front of the counter, making it easy for customers with any kind of disability to checkout without risk. I enjoyed all these assets of Quinn's. Parking was easy: ample spaces with very wide driving lanes, no loose shopping...

I was told by an employee before I even entered the store that “you know we close in 3 minutes.” My reply was “3 minutes?, it’s 8:53pm so i have 7 minutes and only need 2 items.” His reply, well we are closing a few minutes early so I just wanted to make sure you know.” I told him I’d be quick and headed toward the aisle I thought the item was that I needed. Before I even got to the aisle a voice came over the loud speaker saying that the store was closed and I needed to bring my items to the front to check out. I work in retail, was supposed to get out of work at 7pm, however a customer arrived at the store I work at 6:55 pm and kept me there until about 7:30pm and I still had to close the store and finish my closing duties. I guess the 2 extra minutes it would have cost these employees at Quinn’s in Peckville was more important than the customer who they serve. Take the extra two minute drive and go to...
