Franklin Cider Mill. The absolute best. My advice for all who would come seeking Pure Michigan Nostalgia. Don't come looking for things that are not here and have never been here. This is Franklin Cider Mill. They have Franklin Cider Mill doughnuts. Amazing, hearty, hot and fresh; deep fried and crispy on the edges. No, not sugar coated or filled. They are amazing just as they are. Apple Cider fresh pressed and as sweet as nature itself. They have memorabilia, a history wall, and plenty of Cider Mill Nostalgia. They will put up tables and chairs if you have a large group and ask. A babbling brook runs through with tons of hungry ducks and black walnut trees overhead. They have some chest height tables and a few benches by the stream. Tons of seasonal apple and farm fresh products to purchase as well. They have pull apart apple pie bread, apple pies, jelly and jams, syrups and dressings, so many amazing things. Some items sell out so you always have that possibility but when certain items are in such high demand, that's life! If you want cheap Cider, go to Kroger. If you want fresh pressed Pure Natural Cider, come to Franklin Cider Mill! My family of 6 is fulfilling our fall Cider Mill run before heading back to Florida and Franklin Cider Mill was absolutely amazing, just like it was when I lived in Michigan 30+ years ago. When I asked my kids if it was everything they heard it was they agreed it was amazing. So much more I could go on four hours. 5...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had never been to the Franklin cider mill. I went there to meet up with a seller on eBay who sold me A painting that I did not want to be shipped in the mail fearing damage to the painting. Yes I stated I had never been here which to me was embarrassing I thought Franklin Michigan was somewhere up North. I used to have a booth at Royal Oak flea market Franklin Michigan is right next door to Royal Oak so I find out Anyway long story short. I am really glad that the seller recommended the cider mill so much rich history here. Visiting the cider mill for me is like visiting one of the small exhibits at the Henry Ford museum in the sense that the mill still uses the same Machinery to press the apples to make the cider. It's like stepping back into time. And they have one of the greatest selections of different Michigan products, such as honey, And mackinaw island fudge, As well as various other Michigan made products such as jam's and jelly's.. They also have Merch, Such as T shirts handbags that sort of thing. They also have duck food that you can purchase and feed the ducks that are in the small stream that runs across the property. A very soothing and relaxing pastime many Families were there enjoying a rather warm autumn day it was beautiful the sun was out just a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverall it is nice place for your regular fix of cider and donuts. However, parking is very limited and they are not clear on their donut menu. I was there with my work outing for the afternoon and was very disappointed for their donuts. I went up to the counter on my way out to order a dozen donuts. I said I will take a dozen cinnamon sugar donuts please. The counter person said we only have one kind and those are it. I said okay thats good. So I was handed a fresh warm batch of donuts in a bag closed ready for the road home. I live about 30 minutes away. When I got home, I was ready to eat a few and when I looked in the bag, they were PLAIN! So I was really upset that I spent the expensive amount for donuts I was told were cinnamon and sugar donuts. So I brought it to their attention, and they said the cinnamon is in the batter of the donut. I replied and said, you are misinforming customers. Any other cider mill serves cinnamon and sugar donuts that is on the outside. Yours here are NOT that and it should be explained better for customers. They are also very limited on their other products they sell. Only one type of pie was available and no half sizes. From what I remember in years past, this was a great place to go to. I wont be back any time soon that...
