What a horrible 1st experience. Someone needs to train the hostess inside, on etiquette. 1st time visitors of The Franklin Grill, showed up at 5:15pm with my 70+ mother to enjoy an early dinner. Was told by valet to enter inside. No hostess in sight, waited awkwardly. A woman was on the phone trying address us while & have a conversation on the phone. She asked if we went outside & did we have a reservation. I said no, didn’t think we needed it as it was early enough & the website said they are encouraged but not necessary. She said to follow her. Walked outside to 4 younger women at hostess stand. Plenty of tables available outside & inside. One of the younger girls offered to help us, she whispered to them & then told her she was taking care of it. Then told us we’d only have 30 minutes to eat as she had 6pm reservations. I mentioned that I read on the website reservations were not necessary but welcomed. Since when do you turn away a customer that walks in? She offered us to sit at the bar. I’m sorry I explained as my 1st time experience here I didn’t appreciate how we were being treated & shuffled around. When I mentioned to her that I’d be happy to write a review about this experience, she changed her tune. I had no clue where to even get my car as the valet was still parking. She yelled across the parking lot creating even more humiliation to my mother and I. She tried to justify her actions by escorting us thru the parking lot. I turned away from her and walked with my mother. What a embarrassing, horrible experience. We will not be ever be back if the rude hostess with the perm is still...
Read moreCame here with a group of friends in the afternoon. I'll just get straight to the point: THE FOOD IS WAAAAY OVERPRICED. Most of the entrees are in very small appetizer sized portions for $15? I can understand more if they were extremely tasty and flavorful little bits of food, but they were not. I ordered fish tacos and was served two mini flour tortillas with tiny pieces of fish and a side of wild rice. The fish was not seasoned at all, the salsa on top was too sweet. The rice just looked and tasted like Rice-a-Roni straight out of the box. Just bland and the food wasn't even hot. Also, the wedge of lime served with my meal was totally dried out. Hardly got any juice out of it AND the produce sticker was still on it. Like seriously? In terms of presentation and sanitary purposes, you just don't do that. Like did you guys even wash the lime off?
With gratuity, my bill was $19 and all I had to drink was water and no dessert. My stomach was still growling afterward.
The waitresses were average at best. They weren't bad, just not warm, not friendly. I don't think I saw them smile once.
My suggestion if you go here is to order a burger and fries/onion rings. One of my friends ordered that and the portion size was pretty good and she seemed to like it, plus it's a bit cheaper. I would have ordered it but I do not eat beef. Will I go back?...
Read moreAwful experience. We will never be back. I forgot why I don't go there then remembered.
My boyfriend and I walked towards the other end of the bar where we were rudely redirected by "Scott" the bartender who clearly runs the circus. To go squeeze in between all the people at the other end because the bar spots were reserved.
He was extremely aggressive, rude and unkind. At first I thought maybe he'd warm up but he honestly just got worse. We ordered calamari (which was absolutely disgusting, clearly frozen... not breaded... topped with soggy onions and peppers... just yuck) and the sliders.
We asked for pickles on the side and when he aggressively asked if everything was okay from ten feet away... I politely said I do not want to yell across the bar so he was annoyed he had to walk up to us and talk because "I am busy" he said. Isn't that your job? Ridiculous.
I pointed out there were pickles but ya it's fine can pick off. He was so rude and inconsiderate about his mistake acting like it was my fault?
We will never be back and I do...
