My husband and I had booked the gold spa package (75 minutes). Upon arrival in a dingy and run down office building, we were told to sit in two lounge chairs in the tiny corner of the room, behind a curtain. A woman came over after about ten minutes, put some booties on us, then proceeded to leave us sitting there...confused and slightly bewildered for another 35 minutes. There was lots of scurrying around, on the other side of the curtain, so we had figured that they weren't ready for us and were trying to get things in order. No one told us anything, or checked on us at all. This was just the beginning. Eventually, one of the two women running this place (I doubt highly that either is a licensed massage therapist), told us to go into the next room for our massages. At this point, things seemed to be slightly better until, at the half way point of the massages, my husband's masseuse left the room....never returning. I hadn't realized this had happened until about twenty minutes later when I noticed that I could not hear her shoes clicking, and looked over to see him just laying there. When we asked if she was coming back, my masseuse just uttered "uh huh". Well, they just left him there with a now cold towel on his face for another 30 minutes or more. After a while, and after it was clear that the other lady (I think she was the owner) was not going to be returning, my therapist did a quick facial on both of us, using dirty fringy pillows under our heads and using the same wash basin for both of us. I couldn't even believe this. I felt so shocked at the moment, I didn't even know what to say. This package was a birthday gift from me to my Husband, I was mortified. I have had many massages and spa experiences and I can thankfully say that I have never had such an uncomfortable, awkward and unprofessional experience as this. Looking at the other reviews, I can only assume they were mostly made by friends of the owner. This place is awful, definitely...
Read moreTo say we were unsatisfied is an understatement at best.
To touch on the a few areas of the encounter:
It began by having to place multiple phone calls over a 4 week time span to finally reach someone and get an appointment scheduled.
Once confirmed, we arrived at 4:15pm for a 4:30 appointment. The facility was dirty upon arriving, the room not yet prepared, causing us to have to wait to begin the massage around 4:45pm (I get plenty of massages and always look at the clock before it begins).
In preparation for the massage the attendant says here's your changing bathroom, you can get butt-ass naked or do whatever you are comfortable with. The professionalism is very sarcastically present.
They began the massage on my girlfriend while I waited an extra 5 minutes for mine to begin. Every part of the massage was brief at best and not well-attended to.
While the massage was terrible in itself, the worst part about it was it ended 20 minutes into it. I had to ask if the massage was over (as we booked a 60 minute couples massage) and it was only 20 minutes in. The attendant said the clock began at 4:15 which we were still in the parking lot at 4:15 and it took them 25 mins to prepare the room.
It's not a surprise that upon reading reviews this "place of business" has a reputation of collecting people's money and screwing them out of what should be a pleasant experience. Personally, I feel based on this experience I too could rent a shack of a building, post a groupon offer, collect all the money, and do a half-hearted (that's being generous) effort and say thanks for...
Read moreI was very unsatisfied with the service I receive while using a Groupon For this Franklin location. I bought the BFF Package for $132 which was listed as “Two 30-min massages, two 30-min aromatherapy facials with two hydrating foot or hand mask treatments, and finally tea service". To sum it all up: don’t try to fit ALL of that into 45 minutes (Including dress/undress time). It’s doesn’t work. Ever. And your customers will feel ripped off.
Sorry this is my short version :we were only given about half of what was listed in the Groupon and were in and out in 45 minutes or less. The "spa" is in a room in the lower level of an old office building( which was quaint and well decorated )but the “waiting room” and sign in process was awkward and confusing. Apparently we were not the only ones who thought so- because towards the end of our "massage" the next guest knocked on the door and literally WALKED in while we were on the tables. Overall it was not a very relaxing or satisfying experience on top of being overcharged.
The unfortunate thing about it is, the women did a good Job on the work they did anabolic were very kind and thoughtful but that can get overlooked when the whole thing feels very rushed, understaffed and overbooked.
I think if they can work out the kinks in the scheduling and not overpromise so many services in a short time it could’ve been a much...
