This golf course offers a perfect array of challenge and beauty. In true Nicklaus fashion, there are a handful of holes that deceive the player into underestimating their elevated difficulty (often with strategically placed bunkers), while others introduce forced carries and small, protected greens leaving the golfer intimidated visually. With lakes and rivers abound, tall trees and mossy oaks everywhere, and marshlands in the distance, nearly every hole is picture-worthy. This is one of the nicest private clubs I have ever played at. The course does not see near as much play as some of the other courses in the area, so it stays in excellent condition. It is a difficult course with many elevated greens that are firm and fast. However, it is a fair course that will greatly reward good shots.
