Ashley Outlet — Local services in Blytheville

Update Unfortunately, I’m having to edit this review. I went in to Ashley Homestore last year with my sick child (she has Leukemia and was bald at the time so obviously sick) looking for living room furniture. Paul would not even give me a minute to look at the furniture. He immediately wanted to check my credit and run the numbers for me. So we did it.

I told him I would have to wait to get our taxes before we would be able to purchase a set and that was all fine and well. (We weren’t even sure if we were going to get our furniture from them, I was just looking). Before leaving I signed the application for credit check and thought nothing more about it. Months later Ashley is calling me every week to see when I can pick up the furniture. I told them I hadn’t yet gotten my taxes so there was nothing I could do at that time.

They eventually called me in April threatening me with a $1000 restock fee if I didn’t come and pick up the set I had looked at. Which is confusing because I wasn’t even sure If I was getting that set or not (they even said we could change our minds on which one we wanted later). They said I had signed an invoice (which I wasn’t aware of) and that I would have to pay it or it would be sent to collections. I have yet to pay that $1000 but I guess I eventually will pay it off. I honestly feel preyed upon by Paul and the staff at Ashley. Just wanted to let prospective shoppers beware. Don’t sign anything when dealing with Ashley home store in Blythville, AR. If they’ll try to pull one over on a woman with a sick child they’ll do it to anyone. And to be clear they pushed me to write the review below before I left the store as I bet they did a bunch of the other reviews listed here. The only thing they didn’t bet on was me updating it.

We spent a great deal of money at this place, partially because of the excellent customer service that we received from Mr. Paul and Mr. David. Mr. Paul dealt with us as soon as we entered the store, he was very polite and professional, he actually listened to what our needs and wants were and actually made some really good suggestions on the furniture selected. Mr. David, I believe is the manager and I am in awe how hands on he was with everything. I also loved the dynamics between him and Mr. Paul. The customer service was/is Excellent! We were able to furnish all the rooms in our house. I will definitely recommend this Ashley outlet store to everyone. And, may i add that the south florida Ashley needs to come over here to get train in customer service, not all but some needs to be trained. I took my elderly mother to the Ashley Furniture store in Blytheville, AR to purchase a recliner for her as she had recently been admitted to a health care facility and needed a special lift recliner. I first called and spoke with someone to get all needed information. When we got to the store we were greated by DAVID WILLIAMS who recalled the phone call. He was so patient and kind and answered all of my mom’s many questions and patiently allowed her to try out the different available recliners. He set up the delivery and that went perfect too!!! The whole experience was wonderful. I am so thankful we had the pleasure of working with David that day. All the employees were nice. I wish I lived there so I could always shop at the Blytheville store. If you happen to see this Mr. Williams, thank you. My mom loves her recliner and it fits perfectly...
