Thunder Alley Bowling — Local services in Boaz

Took my daughter to this bowling alley to spend some one on one time with her. We've never been before so we wanted to check it out and I told the gentleman at the counter that. We paid for 2 games and our shoe rentals and went to our lane to play. We bowled for about 25-30 mins and finished Game 1. A message popped up on the screen saying to continue bowling please go to desk. The gentleman proceeded to say our game was done, that we had to pay for another. I told him I paid for 2 games and all he said was your game is done, to play again you must pay. My daughter was extremely disappointed and asked if we could just check out their arcade games instead. I purchased tokens and we went to go play games together. Out of the six different games she picked to play, only 2 worked. I told her to not pick anymore games that we need to go tell them and try to get our money back. They only refunded the tokens I had left over. I lost way too much money at this place and we'll never go back. Those people knew exactly what they were doing to us and that's why they kept just dismissing us. My daughter finally just asked if we could just go to the movie theater in Albertville instead, so that's what we did. Their arcade was 100% better and we had an overall...

I went to this place quite often when I was a teenager over 15 years ago and had great times. I also came a few years ago and had a decent time besides the fact that they allow smoking indoors. When I went last night I was amazed that they still allowed people to smoke inside. If I hadn't planned a get together with friends I would have left immediately because I had my daughter with me. Also, some of the individuals that were smoking weren't even legal age. However, there were no smoking signs on the bathroom doors which I found confusing. The service was decent considering how often the lanes messed up. The wood on the lanes were chipped and looked to have not been serviced in years. I am a frequent bowler and this was hands down the worst bowling experience of my life. I hope that if you have kids don't make the mistake I did by exposing children to this place. I am dumbfounded that some people on here are giving this place 5 stars. I will never visit this...

I just wanted to share a Thank You to all of our customers in Boaz and the surrounding area. The last year has been challenging with the continuing remodel inside and out of our facility , along with some staffing and supply issues that most businesses are going through right now. Frank is an amazing guy who cares deeply about this community, his businesses, his customers and employees and is continuing his efforts to help bring a quality product and a good time to Sand Mountain. I personally have come to know a lot of you who visit with us regularly and want to thank you for doing so, there are great people in Boaz and we appreciate you spending time at our place.
