I've had some horrible prior experiences when it came to getting my hair cut at salons (they would always cut off too much length, leave me with blunt ends, and I never seemed to get what I wanted and asked for), so I went into this very nervous. Tabby was the stylist that took care of me, and she was phenomenal. She was very conscious of the fact that I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted during my first appointment, so she kept it simple and continuously checked in with me to make sure she wasn't cutting too much off (for example), and that I liked what I was seeing. Anything I wanted tweaked, she did it. At the end of that first appointment, I still wasn't sure what else I wanted done, so they informed me that I could come back within a week and they would do any additional cutting I wanted at no additional charge. I took them up on this offer and a week later, I came back knowing exactly what I wanted. I did my research and brought photos. During this second appointment, Tabby gave me exactly what I wanted. Again, she was very conscious of my input and continued checking in with me, to make sure she was only doing what I wanted done. Tabby was very sweet, personable, and easy to talk to. She never made me feel intimidated, pressured, or rushed. Urban Chic has a great atmosphere. Love the staff and the clientele. Latoyeia has been doing my hair for years. She has colored my hair dark, blonde and even purple. She takes into account the health of your hair and will consult you on the best way to achieve what you want. She has never disappointed me and my hair always comes out beautiful. Recently she has done IBE hair extensions in my hair. They are the most comfortable extensions and you do not have to dry them like others I have had. The color match is perfect.
