Chloe's Closet — Local services in Bogue

I am visiting friends in the area. One of the young girls in the family had some nice pre-owned clothing…I suggested she consign it. I had driven past Chloes Closet a few times…it looked super cute. I went in first to check it out…the owner was friendly and helpful…said I could come back that same day with the clothing or bring it by next week and drop it with an employee, the owner wouldn't be in. We returned together the following week with the clothing, as instructed by the owner…my young friend’s first time to consign or be inside a consignment ship. She was so excited. The employee immediately ruined that…we had to greet HER first. She presented as agitated, condescending…and overwhelmed. I asked her to please explain how the consignment works with the clients and about payment. I was so embarrassed for my friend. It knocked the wind out of her sails. When we got to the car…she said to me that lady was mean to us. My heart sunk! A neighbor gave us some plus size clothing to contribute to my friends account…I did randomly stop by with it a few weeks later…same employee, same attitude…not a fluke. Doesn't seem to like her job. The people in here are very friendly. If you are a bargain hunter for clothing,jewelry,shoes,and more then this is the right place to be! There is a clothing rack on the porch and a donation jar inside where the proceeds go towards survivors of DV. Im happy to have gone into a place that is VERY well organized and you don't feel squeezed in while looking around. You don't want to miss this gem...

This store is one of my favorite places and is a hidden gem in Bogue. I find some of the best treasures in there and inventory is forever changing.
