Piggly Wiggly — Local services in Bonifay

I will begin by saying I do like to shop at this chain of stores and have many times in Chipley,Dothan,and Bonifay .But my visit today was so disappointing. Walking thru store making my selections I came in contact with 1 young man in the isles no voice contact.On the last 2 isles during shopping I noticed 3 young men in the office area sitting on a desk and chair 1 standing.I observed they did look up in my direction but no voice contact.I was trying to find a item but just ran out of time. I have made my selections and heading to check out.They are still sitting in office area but there are 2 very nice young ladies at the position of checking out customers along with bagging the groceries..we do this alone . Now 1 young lady is discussing her responsibilities on a very quite level, so the other young lady offers to take out trash for her.Keep in mind we are bagging I am loading my cart to get to my car.Do you think those young men ever moved or offer to help any way.? Not 1 .. And did I share we were at the 1st checkout nearest the office area.So I made it a point to ask the young lady if they were on the clock and I was not overly quite..Her only response was a shrug of shoulders and a head shake.I was hoping to see them get up offer to help take out or some assistance .I am not the only person here either .other shoppers are awaiting service. These ladies checked out a lady before me. Next isle over couple more people and behind me . I almost could not get my groceries out of the way before someone else getting checked out.But they were just trying to get all service in a timley fashion.Never observed what I would say an adult anywhere.These were all teenagers. Someone has totally dropped the ball so to speak. These young people definitely need direction and help learning what should go on in the work place.And they may all have been off but would be great if they could gather in a place not visible to customers .And if available help to load cart.keep things moving.These young ladies were doing a very good job .Please feel free to reach out to me if needed.I give 2 stars because of the 2 employees that were...

More than 50% of meat on display has a brown or grey tinge to it. Looks to be spoiled Ice cream cases are not kept cold enough to store ice cream or any other frozen prepared food. Ice cream container felt like I was squeezing a fresh loaf of bread. This store has a history of problems with it's freezer cases and the excuse management has given in the past is it is in defrost mode. Defrost mode should not defrost everything in the large freezer, and once repairs were made, all items were refrozen and sold to unsuspecting customers. This place is a health hazard and I do not understand why the health department has not gotten involved with this store. I will admit i shop here multiple times per week and it is really convenient as it is very close to home. The meat selection is always good and the prices are reasonable, the produce section is limited to mostly the basics of lettuce, tomato, onions, potatoes and apples. They have a very limited variety of canned goods and not much selection for special dietary needs. I can however, find things there that i cannot find at walmart and will continue to patronize this store because the employees are wonderful and if i specifically ask for something, the management staff usually...
