My puppy had diarrhea. I’m on social security and told them I just needed something for her diarrhea. They did tests I didn’t ask for and in total shock they charged me $363 as I left. I’m never taking any animal to them again. Dixieland vet responded that they saw two of my animals. The first Max my dog that Dr. Kreitz at Chipley Animal Hospital saw on 8/27 after I had taken him to Dixieland and was near death. Dr Kreitz listened to the symptoms and spent time checking his heart and examined him. His diagnosis is Addisons Disease and treated Max. I almost lost him because the Dixieland vet did fecal tests and sat on the floor with me and Max telling me for several minutes that if he had a broken bone or could talk they would immediately know what was wrong with Max. She didn’t bother examining him just took the information her assistant took about his symptoms. She treated Max with fecal issues. I walked out of there with a $170. I called the next day and the vet told me to give him water and food with a syringe. After three days of this he worsened severely and I got an emergency appointment with Dr Kreitz who had to hospitalise him with IVs to save Max. Next animal is Pix a 12 month puppy rescue with diarrhea with blood that a friend said I should give Dixieland vets a second chance. I took her to them on 9/27. The assistant took down her symptoms. I told them I was on limited Social Security and the cost and no help from them the last time with Max. The vet assured me they would help Pix. They did fecals which I agreed to. But with one pill for parasites and a syringe for diarrhea I walked out with a bill over $363. And today she still has diarrhea with blood and when I called and spoke to the vet and she said just to see her again and fecals is over $100. No exceptions that they already saw her and she was still sick. ā€œVeterinarians and medicine costs moneyā€ is what she said. I told them to go to ā€œHā€¦ā€. I’m going to Dr Kreitz which I should have done in the first place!!!! And those are the facts and let Dixieland claim they did their best with my loved ones. Bull on your response. What I have related are the facts. I don’t expect free treatment. I expect for the money you vets charge results. And if there are not some positive results then don’t charge extra fees for your mistakes. I have reviewed several vets and found only one with compassion and fairness. And it’s not you. People if you need compassion and help for your loved ones go to Chipley Animal Hospital and see Dr. Kreitz. When Dr. Kreitz treated Max he spent over 45 minutes with him to diagnose the cause of his symptoms. Not just put a bandaid on his symptoms as others do. And for your information my bill was high but fair and Dr. Kreitz even gave me a discount. The rest of these so called veterinarians shouldn’t be practicing Please see my review for Chipley Animal Hospital I posted...

This was my first and last visit to Dr. Gannon. I took my dog in this morning for a drop off visit and received a call in the afternoon from the receptionist saying that he was ready for pick up. I asked what the doctor had found but of course the receptionist didn’t know. The receptionist did get up with the doctor for me and said the doc recommended I/D Stress for my dog. Neither the receptionist nor myself had any idea what I/D Stress was and I was told that all the people that knew were at lunch. I did get a call from Dr. Gannon after I requested the receptionist have her call me. When the doctor got on the phone she immediately sounded defensive and made statements such as ā€œI’m sorry that stool color changes mean something to you but it doesn’t to us.ā€ This statement was made several times along with ā€œMaybe consistency changes, but not color changes.ā€ I had told the nurse when I dropped him off this morning that he had color AND consistency changes. I did not mention to Dr. Gannon that my dog did have consistency changes nor did I question what I/D Stress is??????? She sounded like I was bothering her with taking a healthy dog to her. How would I know he was healthy? In humans stool color changes and consistency changes are cause to let your doctor know so why wouldn’t I think to have my dog checked out?!? I’d like to keep him happy and healthy. I was called hostile when I barely got to say anything so I figured it was time to end the call. Needless to say I won’t be taking my...

Would give zero Stars if it had that option!! Don't recommend taking any Animal there!! I brought my dog in due to all her lymph nodes swelling. They offered nothing for the swelling. They did take a sample of the fluid from her swollen lymph node in her neck. To send off to send off to the state lab. They didnt put her on any medication or Recommend anything!! So I took her to another vet!! There they immediately put her on antibiotics and steroids. Witch within 48 Hours took all the swollen away!! At The Helpful vet I told them I had some fluid drawn from her swollen neck and they wanted that sample. So I called Dixieland vet back to go by there to pick up the Slide from where they drew fluid from her swollen gland. They told me they threw it away.😲 When I had the office visit with my very sick dog with them I told them let's wait a week and we'll go from there. When I called back a week later That's when the receptionist told me they threw it away.I was not a happy camper about that!! After a heated phone conversation all of a sudden they did have the slide after all. So soon I went by there to get the slide to take it to the Good vet to send it off to the state lab it came back inconclusivee. So I think the slide fluid was sabotaged. I've told my story to everyone that has an animal and don't recommend them at all. They're all about the money there not about helping your...

I really liked the Dr./Vet. She was fantastic and owned a very similar breed of cat. First class all the way. They took care of my sick baby and have her on the road to recovery as this is being typed. It was a bit expensive, however I did say when I walked in, I didn't care the cost, I just wanted my cat to be ok. I was an emergency walk with no appointment. So I was at the mercy of the clinic and they did not hesitate in getting my Coco back, tested, and treated. With a total bill of $471.81 it would have been nice if they would have waved the $70.00 walk in fee especially after allowing them to upsale me on flea treatments and agreeing to bring the other cat in to get her shots updated. At least that is what I would have done.

Very knowledgeable and honest. Very clean. Friendly and concerned for my cat. Sammie was to far gone in less than 24 hours after. I took him there because the other veterinarian I took him to was not honest with me charged me and outrageous amount of money and did not send any pain medication and I wanted a second opinion. Unfortunately Sammie had to euthanized. I will never go to Park Way Animal Hospital again. This Dixieland will be where if I decide to become a pet owner again.

I have a miniature teacup boston terrier. Dixieland veterinary service has been great since we started comming. The staff is extremely nice and it shows in their actions that they care and have passion for the work they do. Most places I've gone treat you like just another dollar. The staff as well as the vet have gone above and beyond every single time we've been there or called. I'd recommend this vet to anyone that wants your pet treated like family.
